Topic: Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

How is there not a topic on this yet?! I know people are excited.

As for me i dont know why but im really excited to see this game! The funny thing is I've only played the first in each series. Not that i didnt like them but never found the time to play any others in the series.

I was thinking that there might be a drought for the 3ds in 2014 but i can already see me buying 5-6 games that i know of.

So who here has played all the games in either series or all of them released in the west so far?

I've played them all except for Miracle Mask on the Layton side. I personally would recommend Ace Attorney a little more than Layton, as they have really deep cases and interesting stories. In fact, the 2nd and 3rd games of the Ace Attorney series have some of the best cases story wise; they will not disappoint. They're going for $20 each on Amazon right now.

While I have never played a Professor Layton game I do like the Phoenix Wright series. I just hope that this game isn't a digital only release.

This is a standalone game, so you can play it w/o playing the others. That actually may be a good way to try out both series and see which you like better. I wholeheartedly recommend both of them though; you won't be disappointed.

I've played all of the games in the Professor Layton saga but surprisingly haven't played any Ace Attorney games. However, that's not going to stop me from purchasing this epic cross-over.

I love Layton games. I want every Layton game so really excited for the crossover.

I don't think it has taken long. It is a long process to localize, and the idea is that people really played all 6 Layton games or all Ace Attorney games, and that they need more. Not many people played so many of the titles and some are still being brought.

That announcement totally made my day. Aside from Time Travelers, all of my biggest localization wishes have now been granted. Needless to say, I'm working my way through the Ace Attorney series now is anticipation of Dual Destinies, so I'll be fully versed on both series by the time this is released.

This and Bravely Default are guaranteed pre-orders for me.

Totally going to get this. The intro in the direct was so epic it made my day!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I want that too, but the list of Japanese-only games I want in the States is nearly infinite, so...

I was starting to worry that it might not get localized, so yesterday's news certainly came as a relief. Hopefully the publisher (do we know if it's Level-5 or Nintendo yet?) will opt for a physical release alongside a digital one.

I've never played a game from either series, but I'm a sucker for crossovers, so this grabs my attention.
