The game patching/DLC for retail titles I could only see for titles that come out after the update.
this I could see happening, especially after the outrage over the Maka glitch. it'd be a shame if they weren't able to retroactively apply it to MK7, but if that game has paved the way for them to institute a general fix for things coming down the line afterward, fine by me.

Hidden support for DLC could very well already be in existing 3DS games. If the content is downloaded/installed via the eShop, it could automagically appear when you boot up the game. Not saying it's likely, just that it's plausible.

That's what I'm thinking, doubt it...but it would be awesome...bug fixes, new tracks...new dungeon for OoT 3D (which isn't happening, lol).
