Topic: New 3DS Software 3.0.0-7x

Apparently, this is expected to come around E3, and it would allow the following;

• Updates/DLC to cartridge games (SF643D online and Maka Wuhu fix anyone?)
• Nintendo Zone for everyone
• Access eshop from PC/Mac/iOS/Android/etc. (but you can't play the games)
• Possibly something involving Nintendo Network (unmentioned, but judging from everything else, it doesn't seem to far fetched)
• Better speed/security

What do you think? Possibilities or just rumors? Sound off.

Sounds like Rumors to me personally. I could never see the eshop being on anything that's not a Nintendo device. Even if it is just to browse.

Nintendo already said they aren't dealing with that Maka glitch thing, lol. But yeah, more explanation on the Network, and why Kid Icarus has it on the box. xD

EDIT: As for my own thoughts, I can see this happening. I believe Nintendo has commented on most of those features at one time and they weren't completely opposed to the ideas. Either way, we'll see if it's true or not by E3.

@Joshers744 I actually think Nintendo SAID they would let you access and purchase things on the eshop from other devices. The only way I see how this would work is if you have:

A. Accounts
B. Use your FC

Both of which are great, but one's better than the other. I'll let you guys guess which is the better option.

I remember a few months ago, Nintendo themselves actually announced that you'll be able to buy eShop software through iOS, but it'll only be playable on your 3DS. Let's say your at work, there's an eShop game you want, and you want to play it when you get home. Simply boot up the eShop app on your iOS device, buy what you want, and (assuming it's in sleep mode) said title will download on your 3DS. Now it's there when you get home. I'm not sure when they're going to implement it, but they have officially announced it for the future.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Nintendo said they weren't fixing the Maku glitch, though it would definitely be nice if they did, but overall this rumor doesn't sound too far off in my opinion.

Sounds cool! I always have my 3DS on me but it would be nice to browse the eShop via my phone while out of a hotspot and set up a download to begin as soon as my 3DS gets into a hotspot. Especially if its a fairly sizable download. As for the other stuff, they sound neat. the snipet about the Nintendo Network caught my interest. All in all this sounds very plausible and I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it turned out to be reality.

If it happens it would be great! If not, whatever, still happy with my 3ds atm

The game patching/DLC for retail titles I could only see for titles that come out after the update. As for the other things, like others have already said, I think Nintendo has mentioned most of them as possible new features.

Well, I kind of don't want to see another one of Nintendo's crude, awkward, inconvenient loopholes around making their games patchable. Still, Maka Wuhu may have been worth it. Using the servers to give glitchers the boot could be one way.

Nintendo said back when they announced the eshop that you were going to be able to access the eshop through your computer so I don't think that's a rumor. Don't know about the fixes but I believe everything else is not a rumor.

There should be a better friend system. At least give us a message system so we know if someone add us. Or better yet, a notification with an "add" button.

@sushifireAk They actually incorporated that in MK7, but only in local play.

Really, don't get your hopes up, this is nintendo after all.

I just hope that we get more Find Mii Quests and Puzzles. I have all but 2 hats and 304 out of 345 pieces done.
