Well what do I say now. It's my fault. I trust my friend to exploit the 3DS and this result happened. Can I do something about it. Will contacting Nintendo do anything. I'd like to be able to play fair again.

Lesson for you : DON'T Ever hacking your 3DS in order to play pirated 3DS games.
Some peoples are really addicted with Freebies even by illegal ways. They want something Free, No Pay. They even said if they could get the games for free, why did they have to spend money for games.
I will tell to them with sassy attitude "I don't want Freebies or Cheap things. I want the Expensive one / have to pay but i will get the Original things and legal rather than have to get Freebies or Cheap things but by illegal ways."
If your 3DS has already Bricked, well... i'm afraid i can't help you. Perhaps you can start over again by purchasing another 3DS and DON'T Hack it again. Update your 3DS and say goodbye to Piracy. Don't listen to peoples who mocking at you due to against their mindset about getting illegal Freebies as their Norm to play video games. Their mindset have to be fixed.
OT: You're lacking a lot of details. Is the handheld bricked? If so I believe it's possible to fix it if you have a NAND backup. Otherwise you're stuffed. If the console has been banned from online services, you're still stuffed, may as well hack away.
Yes, if you’re planning on hacking a system, don’t do it on the system where you have all your legit games and save files.
Anyway your best bet would be contacting Nintendo. We don’t really allow the discussion of hacking current systems in this forum. So I’ll be closing this before you give too many details.
