@Tsurii Hyper Seltas Queen is a bit of an anomaly among those, you never, ever fight another monster at the same time as a Hyper one, not even in hyper hunt-a-thons, to the point where I thought it was a system limitation, but she kind of breaks that ''rule'' with her mate. And the terrifying speed boosts she gets on her charge and especially tail moves is much scarier than any amount of power.

Kiranico's XX side of things is now in English: https://mhxxx.kiranico.com/ Not everything's translated, but it's a lot more usable than it was before.
@Tsurii It's singing to the tune of 20,000 HP in G-rank-- more than twice the HP of its high-rank counterpart.

When do you think this game will make it over here? Capcom is doing a MH sale that ends tomorrow (I think), and I feel like I should give Generations another chance. >.>

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Joeynator3000 It's been teased for the Switch. I could see early next year, with an announcement at E3 and Japan getting the Switch version around the holidays.

@Tsurii Well, if you're fighting in a team yourself, you can prevent all of that by keeping her drone busy. She can't chain anything without being linked up with him.

Well, since Gen is $20, guess I'll give it another try. But yeah I just got bored once I got to the hypers. (and Amatsu stressed me out....and Alatreon just made me want to throw my 3DS out the window, lol)

@Tsurii@Joeynator3000 While not direct, I still believe there's evidence pointing towards it. 90% sure on the matter-- Capcom themselves said they wanted to grow the brand in the West and were able to "quite easily" bring the current series' engine over to the Switch.

@Tsurii You may want to consider the Thunderlord set for bow usage. Having both Focus (in G) and Marathon Runner, two very useful skills for that weapon, and alternative ways to raise affinity (Antivirus and Latent Power+2).

@meleebrawler Exactly the same as in 4U. You're basically required to run Frenzy Fever, but on the plus side that makes them usable on anything if you're willing to use the art slot.

@Tsurii ...How on earth did google take "Frostpeak" and come out with "Big Breast King"?
Anyways, with Blunt and factoring sharpness into account, Frostpeak's Liberation has an effective might 427/512 in axe/sword mode. Not that great, really; with blunt, it's just as powerful as the default SA maxed out (422/506). And it has half the elemental strength of the Amber Slash (20 vs 40/48 with phial).

I just noticed a skill that potentially turns ''feeble hits'' (negative affinity) into crits at Crit Boost power. That could be hilarious with worn weapons, which get a massive 380 raw and surprisingly usable sharpness when boosted.
Another little thing I noticed is that apparently setting an art to be SP increases it's cost.
I can't wait to see Alatreon's Charge Blade. But the Tigrex one is just as unimaginatively named as ever.
Edit: What's harder... a super Deviant, or quests where you fail if you cart even once?
Saw Apex Gaming's recent vid of him fighting a Shogun Ceanataur. Looks like he got a couple new moves for G-rank: in the first he sharpens his claws for a moment before lunging forward, and the second has the same start-up but he jumps at you (covers a moderate distance).

@Tsurii The game bombed in Japan, the gameplay is literally just glorified rock-paper-scissors and can be broken into pieces, the story is predictable and boring... honestly, I'm not sure why they're even localizing it.

@CrazedCavalier Meh, if you ask me much of the same can be said of mainstream Pokemon (obviously minus the bombing). There's a reason rulesets are a constant source of contention in competitive play.
And any RPG will look boring if you just watch.
I still have an open mind over it. It lets me kick butt with my favourite monsters, which is all I really want out of the game.
