Topic: mario - wii u vs. 3ds

I got myself New Super Mario U and Luigi U, for the next year I am planning to buy Mario 3d World for the Wii U and 3d land/new super mario bros 2 for the 3ds. Could anyone tell me if that makes any sense? I mean are these the same/similar iterations of the same game? or are they different? different levels etc.?

Same goes for mario kart 7, there seem to be just a few tracks recycled in mario kart 8, is there any point in getting this?

Of course it makes sense! New Super Mario Bros 2 and U are completely different, as are 3D World and 3D Land!

Also, MK8 is much better than MK7. It's completely different.
