I may have been one of the few fans of the original title, but this is a third sequel that involves 2d platforming. Anyone interested?

It's a 2D platformer on 3DSWare. You'd have to really mess up the controls to get unbiased people to dislike this one, as even games with bland or cheap level design get praised here.

The video on the eShop looks at least decent. I hope this turns out ok. Seriously, why do companies like UFO get to make this many sequels to a crapy series yet Capcom can't risk MML3!?

I can't wait to read one of these unbiased reviews I'm always hearing about. It must be a neat trick to write about your personal opinion of a game without letting your personal opinion get in the way.
Think about this, if a hardcore Microsoft fanboy reviews Mario Galaxy and the final sentence is "AWESOME GAME BUT NINTENDO IS TEH GHEY SO I GIVE IT A 1/10" I think it's fair to call that biased.

That is biased. So is "I like this game and therefore I give it a good score." If your hypothetical scare example is really what you're afraid of then the issue isn't bias, it's that you're reading some pretty inarticulate reviews.

MML3 is the same quality of series as this game's series. The N64 and PC versions of MML1 got VERY bad reviews.
