Is there any advantages to using a higher class SD memory card with the New 3DS XL? I read from other 3DS users who say it does not make a difference what class card you use, while others say a higher class such as 10 will make the Icons in the Home Menu load much faster and game saves are faster, is this true?

The higher-class speeds only work with devices that support those speeds. Say, if you stuck the SD card in a high-end camera or had a USB adapter and stuck it in a USB 3.0 port. There is no noticeable - if any - difference between getting a high-class SD card or otherwise for your 3DS.

i have never seen a noticeable different in speed with my sd-cards on 3DS. but there isnt much of a price difference so i guess getting a class 10 sd-card is better. maybe you wanna use that sd-card later for different devices that utilize the speed

I'd probably go for a class 10 anyway - They're not too expensive, especially online.

The class isn't the important thing. There are tradeoffs like high sustained transfer (Good for HD video recording) and terrible small read and writes.

I would just go for the cheapest one on the list Nintendo provides at the capacity you want. (Or what looks to be equivalent if it is 64GB or 128GB.)
