i was thinking the low battery life might be due in part to the (possible) induction charger, since those types of batteries don't last as long. if that charging cradle does charge through induction then i'd say the trade off is not worth it.
I really hope it is an induction charger. They might have it set up so that the lazy people like me can use the induction charger, but those who are impatient can charge it directly.
