I don't understand the logic behind this, if Nintendo wanted to fix anything, it should be aimed towards time travelling. Why mess with the spawn rates when it's a legitimate way of playing the game. This ain't even a competitive game, yes I do clear out the mystery island to farm tarantulas, but even then it still takes about an hour to finish catching a full inventory worth of it. This is just absurd...
