I boycotted the release due to Nintendo's release tactics. And have been enjoying the games through... other means. I personally believe you have to vote with your wallet in instances like this.
My choices really depend on how much "Remaster" they get. If it's just an HD upres, I'd want to save the games that need more substantial care for a full on remake.
I'm in shock right now. When the Switch was first announced, I loved watching his reaction videos for how fun and over-the-top they were. As he got more erratic, I stopped watching, but I never thought something like this could happen.
Anyone, if you're struggling, please please please get help. I promise you have no idea how many people love you. RIP.
It was the best combination of oddball picks (BotW shield surfing! Homerun Contest!), without the gimmicky team challenges like Blast Ball in 2015. Plus the Underground is SOOO hype with actual speedruns of games. Yes it was over 4 hrs long, but it was worth every minute. 2015 was still a lot of fun too.
Ranking: 2017 > 2015 >>>> 2019 (never watched the original 1990)
Yooo. That's basically a free $20 for people who already have Prime. Thanks Amazon!
EDIT: Okay, now that I redeemed the code, I found a few caveats that might explain why they're doing such a generous promo:
You have to sign up for auto-renewal to redeem this.
If someone misses the 30 day window they have to get the 9 months once it's active 60 days in, Nintendo gets a paid sub.
This can bump up Nintendo's lagging numbers.
Not sure, but Nintendo might be using this as a last ditch effort to increase their NSO subscription numbers before their fiscal year earnings report in a month (Apr 28th). It's been hinted subs haven't been what Nintendo was expecting, so what better way than to give it away for free?
Nintendo isn't marketing this as a premium VR experience though. All the marketing shows kids or teens, and the price point is only $40. If anything, this could introduce VR to a huge new audience and make it more mainstream.
DS is ranked WAY too low. It probably has the best library of any Nintendo handheld; the amount of 1st and 3rd party exclusives is just STAGGERING.
SNES is 100% deserving of the #1 spot, and putting anything else is almost sacrilegious as a Nintendo fan. You could make a case the top 3-5 games of all time are from that system
Switch as #1? Recency bias delusion. The console's in 2018 with barely functioning paid online, no Virtual Console, badly organized eShop, etc. Check in 5 years from now and we'll see if it deserves the top spot.
I really was excited to buy this game, but the more little things like this I learn about it, the less excited I am. At first, it was enough to have me hold off on a pre-order, now I'm even questioning if I should buy at all.
Give us OPTIONS Nintendo. Sakurai's mindset should be standard for all Ninty games
I have an 8Bitdo NES 30, which works pretty well. The only downside was the analog sticks being a bit small, and this new version seems to fix that! Might jump; 8Bitdo consistently makes high quality products.
Unpopular opinion, but I agree with the author. Super Mario is my favorite series, and Sunshine is the ONLY installment I couldn't get into.
The camera and controls are just far too frustrating to try and devote the time. I remember this one stage where you had to climb up it vertically, and after one too many times falling all the way down because I couldn't see, I just stopped playing the game.
I still hope that Nintendo does a remake of this game though, as I think if they spent the time to fix the camera and tighten the controls, I would love this game.
Thank you Nintendo gods!! I've been meaning to buy Shovel Knight for a long time, but kept waiting for a sale. Today I finally gave up, thinking I need to buy it before the price rises for Treasure Trove. And lo and behold when I booted up the eShop, it was on sale!
Congratulations!! This is my go to site for Nintendo. The breath and depth of reviews and news really made me a loyal viewer. Here's to many more years!

Re: Talking Point: How's Your Switch Holding Up After 5 Years?
Besides drift and battery (so basically par for the course), everything else works like the day I got it.

"just-OK Tetris DS"
Tetris DS is the best version of Tetris.

Re: Nintendo To Remaster 'Most Of Super Mario’s 35-Year Catalogue' For Switch in 2020, New Report Says
This isn't News, it's a Rumor. I've had one two many Star Fox Grand Prixs to trust anything anymore.
Re: Poll: Vote For Your Favourite Nintendo DS Games
Went through all 19 pages! That added a lot of games to my Collection page, lol.

2017 was by far my favorite year.

@NintendoLife the hyperlinks are messed up. Hollow Knight links to Overcooked, tc.

Re: Deals: Amazon Prime Day 2017 Round Up
Thanks for the microSD link! I bought the 128gb for $36, which imo is a pretty great deal.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Will Require a 3GB Install on Wii U
I just want this game to run smoothly on the Wii U. If installs help with that, I'll put up with it.

Dang that was a long one. Hopefully they are looking at what people are saying for E3 and will adjust accordingly (we want NX news!!)

Re: Rumour: Wii U New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Luigi U Hardware Bundle Sighted
This would make me finally pick up a Wii U, as long as the price was $300. If they release it for Christmas they could sell a huge number of these.
