It's amazing to see such humble tech being used in ways like this and making positive changes to people's lives. You don't see this kind of thing with PS3 or Xbox 360!
It would cetainly be handy. My only concern is the pricing. Playstation Store sells downloadable versions of packaged games for a stupidly inflated price. Driver: San Francisco sells for £58 on there and Infamous 2 is priced at £50.
If nintendo want to make all their games downloadable, then it should at least make the price equal to it's retail versions
It'll be interesting to see what the final sales numbers are when the DS is discontinued. It's coming very close to outselling the PS2 (which currently stands at 153.19 million units), which would make it the best selling console ever. Keep on going, DS!
WiiWare was a great idea, but its a shame that it was poorly executed. One of my biggest gripes is that most games don't have the option of trying out a demo or trial. Almost like nintendo are saying 'look but don't touch'. And as everyone else as commented, the games themselves are a major issue. It's truely a sad day when the likes of World of Goo, Cave Story and Lostwinds are being heavily outsold by My Fireplace. It's things like this that turn WiiWare into a joke. But having said that, now that Nintendo have had experience with online stores, they now know what works and what doesn't. If WiiUWare ever happens, you can guarantee it'll be better than WiiWare.
My earliest memory of Sonic was back in 1997. I remember going to my cousin's house where she would have the old Mega Drive out along with Sonic 1 & 2 and Sonic and Knuckles. I would always play these whenever I visited and since then, I was hooked on Sonic. I used to play them so much, that she gave me the console and the games she got for it. That was a happy day for me.
I went on to play the Sonic Advance series, Sonic Heroes and Sonic Mega Collection and I loved them all. Of course, there were a few stinkers (Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic'06, I'm looking at you) But no matter what, the Mega Drive games will always be the best. Even now, my Mega Drive still works after all these years and I still find myself going back to the orginal games every now and then.
One Hangman game is more than enough, I think. Especially since it looks the same as the first one. Btw, in the tagline, is the missing word GameLion? If it is, do I win anything or do I just get a rubbish animation of stickmen?
It's not just the loading times that are the problem. It's the games too. There have been a few great games released for the DSi Shop, but now its just become a dumping ground for various sudoku puzzles and failed mobile phone games/apps. And that's a shame because the service had real potential. Nintendo could really do with improving quality control.
I never really used the guide when playing New Super Mario Bros Wii so I probably won't be using this either. Still, it'll come in handy when people do need it.
Wario and Waluigi should definity appear in the same game. Nintendo could call it 'Super Wario Bros'. It would play out as a parody of 'Super Mario Bros' where instead of jumping on enemies, wario uses his shoulder charge or fart attacks to send enemies flying and waluigi uses a tennis racquet to deal with enemies.
Downloaded it on friday, and despite the fact that I thought this would be a terrible port, it's actually brillant! Gameloft did a great job porting this.

Re: Catch the BAFTA Awards Live Stream Tonight
No doubt Mario Kart 7 will win the Family award. Hope Super Mario 3D Land wins the Handheld award.
Re: Wii Remotes Can Help Diagnose Eye Disorder
@DrCruse
That's pretty cool. I guess there's a lot of potential for Kinect outside of being used for Xbox.

Re: Review: Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa's Revenge (Wii Virtual Console / Neo Geo)
Victoly is mine!
I've played the previous Samurai Shodowns and I have to say that I enjoyed this one the most. Hope the later sequels make it to virtual console.

Re: New SNES Title On the Way in 2013
Wow... a new SNES game in this day and age. Hope it turns out to be good.
Wouldn't it be funny if there was a new Mega Drive/Genesis game coming out as well? The 16-bit war would start again!

What the hell is going on at GAME?
Re: This is How Game Gear Games Will Look on 3DS
Why don't we all agree that tetris and columns are both awesome and leave it at that?
As for Game Gear, it's really cool that Sega is giving us options for how we want to play our games. Especially the 'ghosting' option.
Re: Nintendo Japan Hosts Nintendo Direct Tomorrow
How strange they do this show on the day the PS Vita lauches.
Coincidence? I don't think so.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Considering Alternative Names for Wii U
Nintendo Magic White Box With Shiny Screen On Controller. Or or short: NMWBWSSOC
But seriously I reckon they should just change the last i in 'wii' to n so it becomes 'win'. Nintendo Win, sounds like a good name for a console!

Re: Feature: Resident Evil's Most Nightmare-Inducing Moments
The scariest part of the orginal resident evil games was the voice acting. Especially the 'jill sandwich' line, i couldn't sleep for weeks afer that!

Re: Feature: The Making of Star Fox
Too bad Argonaut went out of business in 2004. Starfox is a classic that is just screaming out for a release on virtual console.
