@Doctor-Moo Thing is, that's completely false. Objectively false even. Odyssey's whole appeal is the wide array of ways you can tackle objectives. You can use a backflip, jump off cappy, walljump, then dive to reach a high area. You can possess an enemy, jump high with it, hop out at the height of the jump and then throw cappy to get more distance. Cappy as a mechanic is the literal opposite of "linear design." 3d world on the other hand is as linear and basic as it gets.

@Anti-Matter So you want them to make it into a crappy shooter like Ratchet and Clank? Mario Odyssey's mechanics were insanely deep. The movement combined with the controllable enemy movesets were insanely well thought out. Game is infinitely replayable. Don't need to dumb it down to Ratchet and Clank level. Mario gameplay is infinitely more thought out and deep than that shovelware.

@Kyloctopus It's a single player game that just happens to have a pseudo co-op mode. 3d world is the only game with legit co-op and that game is pretty bog standard.

@MTMike87 Core gameplay was dumbed down a lot though. 3D world is just too basic.
