$499 for the bundle with Mario Kart says that game is valued at $50.00 and most who want a Switch 2 will want that game anyway, so it will be interesting to see where the stand-alone price might stay.
If they decide the bundle price will be higher than $499, then I will wait a while and just keep playing the Switch I have. I'm not interested in $70 - $80+ for most games, especially not digital where I have nothing physical in my hands. They can sit and I can wait and get 2nd-hand copies from third-party sellers. I've even had to go third-party for some Nintendo physically released stuff as they aren't available anymore from their own website.
I grew up through the 80s and 90s and I remember Street Fighter II for SNES was something like $74.99 at the K-Mart we often shopped at. In that generation, I spent most of my time renting games instead.
