Aonuma is just trying to find some new weapons for Link to use to update the game to modern times. Link's backpack will now be used as a weapon and the only thing to defeat Ganon.
Watts came in and spoke about using the bug catching net to defeat Ganon in ALBW. Aonuma decided to use his new weapons to defeat Watts and see if it would work.
