Re: Talking Point: Is Tears Of The Kingdom The Scariest Zelda Game Ever?

princess_shantae

Gibdo's are bad enough since they hide in plain sight but FLYING ones? Hmm n o thanks.

The like likes are gross and I didn't miss them but I kick their asses.

The gloom hands give me anxiety. I've played 82 hours and I havent killed them yet since they turned into Ganon like total jackwipes. So unfair.

Geeloks are no nos. I run.

Horriblins are uggo and creepy but I'm very handy with a spear so aside from the first few encounters I've had no issues.

Frox are dirty cheaters but I've killed like five. I've been in the depths a LOT.

Re: Soapbox: 20 Years Later, Super Mario Sunshine Is Still The Best 3D Mario

I agree so much!
Mario Sunshine is incredibly easy to get lost in its world- my brother pointed out how small the levels were and that surprised me but I guess they packed a LOT into what they had because every single level oozes charm.

The platforming is also so pleasing and I enjoyed the little story cues with Peach and Toadsworth (pls bring him back btw).

Honestly. Between Sunshine and Luigis Mansion; the gamecube era was peak Mario Brothers and I doubt we'll ever have such such a charming and enjoyable era for that franchise again.

Re: Infamous Stardew Valley-Inspired 'Super Zoo Story' Gets New Trailer

I didn't know that corneredape was one of the people pitching a fit over similarities... that's disappointing.

Only a few of the sprites could have been considered direct rip offs of SV, and this was when the game was in early development, who knows how they would have changed it?

Considering that Stardew Valley started out as Harvest Moon fan game, and then it slowly it's look evolved until Eric was no longer using any Marvelous properties (pixels, sounds, etc), but that took time and he had full support from the farming sim communities.

Big phat hypocrite.

Re: 'Rise Of The Third Power' Goes To War On Switch This February

As someone who played and loved Ara Fell 4 years back, the story was actually really touching, the characters are likable and thought out. The music was great, and the whole aesthetic was fantastic, which is why I am so glad to see this game is finally getting a release!

The dev team is really capable.

I Kickstart-ered this one way back in 2018 and it's gonna be pretty dang sweet to get my hands on it.

Re: Video: The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD's Launch Trailer Is Here

@SortingHat So not only did this reviewer NOT like the OG Skyward Sword much (calling it so-so) but he's also a graphics junkie?

Who cares what his opinion is then?

It does sound disappointing if Nintendo dropped the ball on a doing a full remaster but I'll wait and see for myself. Otherwise, SS was actually always super fun for me and it's in my top five Zelda titles.

Re: Review: Harvest Moon: One World - A Poor Imitation Of A Once-Great Series

princess_shantae

I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
It's been surprisingly addictive for me and the bachelors and bachelorettes have been a huge upgrade from Light of Hope.

The seed gathering is fun imo... but the stamina loss from walking and INSANELY fast clock are huge negatives. I also hate that the non marrigable npcs have no actual names???

It basically feels like they improved on some things and on other things UNIMPROVED. I like the music, but don't like the lack of dialogue. I like the art style but don't like the empty maps. I like the gameplay but don't like how mines work. Etc.
