OK, so it was is a bad April Fools Prank and some people need to calm down. On the other hand, it shows the dramatic difference between the image that EA wants to create and what the developers at EA really think.
Sorry but i can't see this as a reason that EA is making real Wii U games right now. Maybe they will bring some dance or music games to the Wii U but nothing more.
If you ask me, he knows how to use social media equally as good as Nintendo. I think i can only agree with a commend i read on another side: What will happen after this?? Nintendo fans wont be buying EA games......Oh wait.
I think it is sad that Nintendo is doing something like this, because the Nintendo Let's players are some of the most enthusiastic Nintendo fans out there. If you read Nintendos statement I have hopes that they will do something to help Let's players to earn money in the future. Maybe we will hear something about this topic in the Nintendo direct tomorrow.
The worst part is that Madden could have been a game that is better on the Wii U then on the other consoles. I think in the US the Tablet controls could have been a Wii U platform seller. Guest we don't have to look into any EA games anymore.
If you ask me it's stupid not to at least ask Sega and Nintendo before you produce a console that uses the Games. What if they have the right to start legal actions against you and you produced 10k Consoles that can't be sold anymore.
This man has done enough for Nintendo and gaming in general. If he takes his head and retires tomorrow i could understand his choice and if he want's to continue to make games than that's fine too.
Very bad news for Nintendo and the Wii U. I really think that game creators should be more open for new things. But i guest it's Battlefield we are talking about. The amount of 3rd party games for the Wii U is getting smaller and smaller.
Crazy to see that the dev is brave enough to come out and say this. On the other hand it is sad to see that we can't get a a true answer on the question "Why is your game not coming to the Wii U". Sometime we get lie about the engine and the other time we get some blurry comments that they want to use the unique features and that's not in the budget.
@K1LLEGAL I think your right. It's that there are no "good" news at the moment. The bad new keep coming in a steady flow and the good news are kind or rare these days. You can take the last month, we had constant flow of dooming comments from gaming company's and on the other hand we had one nintendo direct with exiting news.
Ubisoft was Nintendos prime 3rd party support for the Wii U and at the beginning everything looked fine but now slowly but surely things are going back to the way it was on the Wii. Can't wait for the short and bad standalone versions of games for Wii U. Not much going the way of Nintendo these days. =(

Re: EA Developing Frostbite Engine For Mobile, But Not Wii U
The problem is that they would have to develop a new engine for the Wii U not that they don't do it, this fact is understandable.

If you look at the games that Deep Silver published on Nintendo consoles you can see that they didn't have the best experience with the big N.
