Is Rage of the Gladiator even close to the same thing as MDK2? No... From what I understand from the demo, you stand there and fight things that are in front of you. That sounds nothing like MDK2, MDK2 has worlds to explore, puzzles to solve and guns to shoot. I think these games shouldn't be compared.

@65 Can you use the Classic Controller? I might not buy it if there is only wiimote and nunchuck support.

But, really I do love this game. I've owned it on the dreamcast and the PC and would love to have it on the Wii.

If you buy this game, be sure to also buy Blades of Steel... So you recreate at least 80% of all Rescue Me episodes.

I like the "Wii would like to play" commercials. Nintendo just needs to do more like PS3 does. Sell themselves and games at the same time... even if they didn't make the game.

I can't wait for the wii to be dead for a couple years, so I can pick this and NSMBwii up at gamestop for less than $10.

I am going to buy myself a points card for it this week, just to be ready. I've owned the Dreamcast version and the PC. This was one of the toughest Dreamcast games I owned.

Now if only they would bring Ooga Booga to Wiiware, with online multiplayer (already has it thanks to Seganet).

I loved this game and can't wait to get my classic controllered hands on it.

Am I the only person that didn't like Mega Man X? I owned it on the SNES and barely played it. Didn't even feel like a Mega Man game.

@longtimegamer: Yes, it's copyright infringment, but Nintendo will probably ignore him until he starts trying t-shirts and coffee mugs. He's not stealing enough money from them yet to make a law suit worth it.

So far they are looking great. Good luck getting through all those later games that were licensed from horrible movies.

Had this. Played just like the ol Tony Hawk Pro skater GBA games. But, really if you want to play this, play the Dreamcast version.

It looks like Kirby 64. Maybe it's just the size of the video, but it looked exactly like Kirby 64. Hopefully they push the Wii harder than that.

I want a new Rayman game instead. I recently had to throw out my Rayman 2 shirt that came free with my Dreamcast Disc... That shirt was not made for 8 years of wear and tear.

Just wait a couple years and buy it used at Gamestop, cheap. Problem solved.

Flicking the wiimote helps conserve your grenades. And really just buy the Anthology. If anything just for the later Slug games' ZOMBIE stages. Those are the best 2D action stages ever.

It would be pretty easy to make most people happy. Less Shovelware, more VC! How many people would buy Derby Duds if Mario Party 2 came out at the same time?.. better yet, how many people are actually going to buy Derby Dogs? And is anyone besides Carl Lewis interested in a Running sports title?

Fox: you have to admit that the Wii also gets hit with a ton of crap on Disc too... I guess that is what happens when you take the family friendly role in the videogame wars.

Doesn't Sega realize that once they stopped making their own consoles, they stopped making Good Sonic Games.

The only party game I ever owned was Sonic Shuffle. And that was crap. And I have no friends to play with. Pass.

I had lawn jarts as a child and must say that all other outdoor sports suck by comparison. Frisbees? Crap! Horse Shoes? Junk! Nothing compared to taking those heavy spiked jarts and throwing them as high and far as you could!

@2: I'm not sure if they were made illegal, just too dangerous for kids. and guns aren't marketed as a children's toy... lawn jarts was.

This has ruined my day. I guess Grand Theft Retro will get my 1200 wii points I have been saving for 5 months.

Who's buying Wipeout? Really, I can't sit through 5 minutes of the TV show! I couldn't imagine the game holding 10 seconds of my attention.

Why not use the same game engine as Super Mario Wii and remake all the original SMB games? I'd buy that even though I already own the VC versions.

Hopefully, now that Labor Day marks the end of summer, we can expect the flood gates to open and we'll have a VC and GOOD WiiWare game each and every MONDAY!
