This is me just trying to be hopeful, but I was thinking that perhaps the limited variants in color and size of the new 3ds in North America is some type of marketing ploy. There's obviously been lots of hype going around about the new face plates on the normal sized 3ds, and since it isn't available, it's of course going to be more desired, after all people want what they can't have. Personally, I'm not a fan of the XL's either, but it's just because I have smaller hands, and it does not fit comfortably in them, nor am I a fan of the colors they have released for the new 3ds XL in North America, but I know the second they release more colors that I find more desirable, It'll be more likely that I will purchase one. I know choosing not to buy the console for it's color seems petty, but why buy something expensive if you don't love it entirely? Perhaps I'm getting carried away here, but it doesn't seem like that bad of an idea.
