Sadly I check before opening the cellophane. Hold the box up to light and look through the bottom. You will see the cart if there is one in there. Unfortunately there have been a couple instances online where someone got a 3D printed size game cart in the case so this isn’t foolproof.
Currently playing the Japanese physical. No auto save so you have to manually save. Had the game crash twice already (first time I lost a lot of progress).
@rayquaza2510 This seems to be the first DLC that is NOT region locked.
The otome Reddit users are saying the DLC on all eshops is compatible with the Japanese physical copy. Some there already had a physical copy of the game and purchased the DLC from another eshop and the text applied to their Japanese physical copy.
The thing is the DLC works with the Japanese physical release. So you can buy the DLC in any eshop and if you have the Japanese physical release it will apply and you can still play in English. It would’ve been better if English was added on as a free patch to the existing release but this is how they chose to do it.
This article only shows one image, but if you read some of the other articles with many more images it becomes more obvious that Capcom is in the wrong. There’s a design on a door from a mansion in Newport that is not open to the public that she had an image of. Capcom used the same image on a door.

Reading this feels like this is a native advertising article. Makes me wonder if they did get paid to write this.

Do some companies not do a physical inventory count every so often? I thought you needed to to confirm or adjust what is on your books.
