I sold FIFA 19 because EA left out so many features, and I certainly won’t buy FIFA 20 on Switch given that they clearly don’t give a monkeys about supporting it properly any more. Vita all over again. I’m guessing they expected more sales and can’t justify any additional development costs.
It’s a vicious cycle. Not enough gamers buy the feature crippled Switch version of FIFA 19, so EA don’t allocate enough budget/team members to add essential FUT features. Will FIFA 20 be the first Legacy Edition on Switch? I really hope not, but EA need to step up their game and start listening to what their customers want.
FIFA 19 is a lot of fun on the Switch, kudos to EA for producing a great port. However, I’m disappointed we still don’t have features like daily/weekly objectives in the game, and it’s that kind of neglect that will likely prevent me from buying FIFA 20.
And well done to NL for reporting this story. Really unprofessional of Nintendo and/or EA to have stuck the misleading news post on Switch and just left it there!
I have to agree with the many posters on here who enjoyed this game. I took a punt and I have to say that it’s a lot of fun. I’ve spent several hours on it so far, the crafting is great and the gameplay reminds me of Far Cry Predator on Xbox. Yes it’s rough round the edges but for the price there’s a lot of gameplay. I hope they release Radiation City on Switch too.
