@Bolt_Strike I have to disagree. While the releveance of Jigglypuff has gone by the wayside, the same could easily be argued about Charizard and moreso for Lucario. Mewtwo is easily far more relevant than Lucario, yet I'm not expecting his return despite how much more I'd prefer to see him in the game over Lucario. That coupled with the fact that Lucario's moveset is very similar to Mewtwo's. Meanwhile there is no other character with a moveset remotely similar to Jigglypuff's. As it is, every character that first appeared in the very first game has been carried across to the two released sequels that came after it, I see no reason why that trend wont continue. Now do I care personally if Jigglypuff returns? No, not at all, but if I were a betting man, whether I like it or not, Jigglypuff will be back.
@SphericalCrusher I don't know if Mewtwo is going to appear (I really hope he does), but I'd say chances are very great that Jigglypuff is returning (would be kinda crazy for one to have been there from the start to disappear after 3 games).
I'm actually a little disappointed in the removal of transforming characters: Zelda/Sheik, Samus/ZSS, and the Pokemon Trainer. Its great that Sheik and ZSS are separate characters, but only having Charizard is really sad to me. The PKMN trainer was a favorite of mine, with the ability to switch between a lightweight, medium, and heavyweight. Plus I love squirtle, and Ivysaur had really great moves. The game loses a little bit of its uniqueness in my personal opinion by not having transforming characters. And now my dreams of a transforming Young (masks) Link from Majora's Mask have been squashed (would have been Young Link transforming between the three forms of Deku Link, Goran Link, and Zora LInk, with Fierce Diety Link obviously being the final smash).
I do wish the Wiimotes had x and y buttons. Then you could play SNES games on the VC without having to connect a classic controller or GCN controller. And before you ask, the A and B buttons while being in incorrect places could take on the roll of the L and R buttons for the few SNES games that used them, this actually works fairly well for the GBA emulator on the Wii when you map the buttons to a wiimote.
"Final 'Initial' Character reveals" Hell No! I mean I want a few more character reveals but don't make these the final initial character reveals (even assuming there will be the hidden characters that are only revealed after launch). Especially if we're looking at a holiday or later launch. I want this game packed with characters, and I know initially they said the character number would be comparable to Brawl, I say bring on more. Yes, DLC could easily account for more, but even still I'd love for this game to have 50 playable characters on disc. Optimistic? Sure, but I don't feel unjustified with this thought.
Also for the new name, I've got it: Super Smash Bros: Kerfuffle.
@aaronsullivan The name! The name! Its time we find out what these Smash games are going to be called, surely the final names aren't Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS. Also a few more characters and stages.
They could easily do another Smash direct in another couple months to announce more stuff too. Smash has always been a huge title for Nintendo, can't really blame them for milking as much out of its hype as possible.
@rjejr Don't hold your breath for it to come out by the end of September, thats all I'm saying. If nothing else, you gotta give them credit for putting in as much time and polish to make the smash games quality.
@bizcuthammer yeah but they were announcing delays for Brawl, only a month or two before its supposed release last time. Like they really wanted to make that release, and realized only a month or two before hand that it wasn't going to happen. I'm sure with Namco helping, a release date will be more realistic to make, but even still if they do announce a release date I'm going to take it with a big grain of salt, as I recall even Melee was delayed too (not nearly as bad as Brawl, but still).
@bizcuthammer I disagree, they probably learned their lesson with Brawl. Giving a release date so early only to have to delay it time and time again. I'd rather not be told November XXth of this year only to find out in October that its coming out March XXth of next year.
I don't expect a release date, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if they say its delayed. I do however expect the official name(s) of the two games, 3 to 5 new characters announced with 1 to 2 of them being completely new characters (not veterans), and then just news on new features, maybe some maps and items as well. Should be good fun.
@Brickbuild101 I like how people care so much about this. As if watching Bob's Burgers or any other TV show in 480i instantly makes it unwatchable. Sure the blockbusters look great and should be seen in HD, but really, so much of Netflix is just stuff you passively watch while playing on your 3DS or doing doggieoopsiepoopiepoodle online, or even just something to watch as you fall asleep.
Something about this game did always pique my interest. It always seemed like something bigger and impossible to comprehend was happening within the game. Even after collecting everything, I thought there was still something about this game that kept drawing me in. Lots of mysterious and odd memories tied to this game for me. Count me in on buying this thing.
@jman0625 or if you use the SSBB Project M iso builder. Of course you need to hack the vwii mode of the Wii U in order to play this, but its a nice way to save space on your sd card.
I may be wrong, but it seems that a lot of people are assuming that because she's on the side of these issues that is morally correct, that she must not be doing anything wrong. Now without looking into her history, I have to question if her means of addressing these issues isn't still morally wrong.
What do I mean? Take a look at those PETA fools, they argue for animal rights, surely this is a noble and understandable cause. Their methods of fighting for these rights? I'm sure I don't have to tell you, that often, in fact most of the time, they try to make statements through demonstrations that are just as disgusting if not worse than those that support the eating of meat.
My point is, there are two sides to every story, she may be pro LBGT rights and feminism, but if her methods of addressing these rights are truly awful, then those methods of addressing those rights is truly awful.
I made the mistake of getting this game 2 days before I got Pokemon Y. Consequently I have had no life, and I've been wanting both gameplays to somehow be merged lol. They are both fantastic titles, I would highly recommend Rune Factory 4.
Assuming the girl I marry loves Zelda as much as I do, which I really hope she does. This is what I would hold the ring in that I propose her with, tell me thats not amazing lol.
It doesn't help that anyone can softmod their wii for free and then download and install wiiware titles for free. To release anything on wiiware after it was exploited the way it was, seems foolish to me, that is of course if you want to make some money on your title as a developer.
I saw your NFC thing, but I think AR on the 3DS sounds more exciting to me, cuz you and your friends would still be able to play it anywhere, and the idea of the pokemon jumping out of their cards sounds really cool to me.
The Pokemon Card Game should from here on out should be Augment Reality ready for the 3DS. So that you can play the game but the Pokemon pop out and do the attacks you tell them to on the 3DS.
Its already been said that a new 3DS Zelda game will come before another remake (for the 3DS). And they've already made numerous hints that Majora's Mask is definitely a possibility. And the groundwork is already done since they already remade OOT. Of course its gonna get remade for the 3DS. In my book its not a question of will it? Its a question of when will it? It would be great to see it remade for the Wii U, but its not gonna happen there, its pretty clear it will be remade on the 3DS in the same style of OOT 3D.
I always thought it would be cool if they released a Zelda game for the 3DS called The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time. It would start you off with only the ability to play OOT, but after you beat it, you get to play straight into Majora's Mask. They could even have had an extra mini chapter you could play between games bridging the gap, so that your quest is more clear that you're looking for Navi (and you set most your old items away thinking you wont need them anymore), and you take Epona through an area you've never been before and suddenly you find yourself at the beginning of Majora's Mask. But alas, that is only a dream of mine.
Super ridiculous idea, but hear me out. Phantom Hourglass takes place immediately after Wind Waker. How about instead of a master quest, after you beat Wind Waker, you get to play right on through Phantom Hourglass made in HD with proper controls and everything. Yeah, I'm not holding my breath for a second on this, but it would be really really cool.
I was just thinking how the WiiU controller could be used to bring that old Wii light patent to life for games that don't utilize the screen such as rock band. They could have it where you place the controller on top of your TV, and if the room is dark, the screen will light up colors brightly in reference to what color buttons you press on your instrument controller, or other such instances of the like.

@rjejr I highly doubt a summer release for Smash, Holiday at the earliest would be my guess. But really I'm betting it'll be delayed to early 2015.
