@RiasGremory all dlc for fighter's pass 2 were already chosen and secured way before that info about negotiations for doom content never went anywhere came out and there's no way in hell Nintendo would waste time and money sending a Nintendo representative back to bethesda just to try to get doom content again, doom content doesn't belong in smash ever, just because smash ultimate is a celebration of video games as a whole DOES NOT MEAN that all video game series will, should or can be represented in smash ultimate, especially with a fighter, even if Nintendo did go back to try to get doom content for smash ultimate, they would only add doom spirits through a spirit event or a doomguy mii costume only and not scrap a dlc fighter just to add a stupid 1st person shooter rep

@anoyonmus what part of 'negotiations for doom content did not go anywhere' do you not understand? negotiations that don't go anywhere means doom content is not coming to smash, also sora is way more likely than master chief or any other highly requested characters because Disney wants sora in smash as a fighter and Disney also has a great relationship with Nintendo, also, sora DOES NOT need Mickey, donald and goofy, also, just because we already have characters from m rated games in smash doesn't mean that we need more nor does it mean that we are getting another m rated character, also, not all game genres should be represented in smash ultimate with a fighter on the roster, 1st person shooters should be represented with a mii costume only and visual novel games should only be represented with spirits but it's highly unlikely that every single video game genre will be represented in smash ultimate, just because smash ultimate is a celebration of video games doesn't automatically mean that all video game genres should be represented

@RiasGremory last year the director of doom eternal said negotiations for doom content never went anywhere when a representative from Nintendo had a meeting with the head of bethesda, which means they couldn't come to any kind of agreement for doom content which in turn means doom content is not coming to smash, also, not all game genres will be represented in smash nor should they be, a first person shooter rep should not be anything more than a mii costume

@anoyonmus master chief would only be allowed to be a mii costume and negotiations for doom content never went anywhere so doom content is not coming to smash ultimate, and yes, the director of doom eternal said that negotiations never went anywhere which means that doom content was never obtained, also, doom content would most likely force sakurai to change smash ultimate's rating in Japan and sakurai doesn't want to do that

the only thing i see happening that was listed as a possibility to happen is that Nintendo changed their minds about not having Xbox game pass on switch and xbox game pass is going to come to switch and nothing else, and no, master chief is not coming to smash ultimate as a dlc fighter, the only way he's getting in is as a mii costume only because we already have a Microsoft rep in fighter's pass 2

@anoyonmus that's not possible because they would need to get permission from the owners of the james bond/007 IP to use it and they also have to get permission from the actor who was used for James bond to use his likeness and the James bond/007 IP owner from what I've heard have become strict about using the James bond/007 IP

i don't think it's a fighter at all, it's either a bonus mii costume, it's just a error that a number was skipped or it WAS going to be a 3rd party mii costume of a certain Activision|Blizzard character (crash bandicoot) but Nintendo told sakurai to scrap it because they don't want Activision|Blizzard to have any representation in smash do to the scummy and crappy things Activision|Blizzard has been doing over the years especially the lawsuit Activision|Blizzard is currently facing

this is proof that ryu hayabusa IS NOT going to be a dlc fighter in smash ultimate, he's most likely going to be a mii costume, also, Microsoft asked something similar by asking about master chief's invite, which means master chief isn't going to be a dlc fighter either, even blizzard said they want an overwatch character in smash, which means overwatch is not getting a dlc fighter at all, and no, crash will not be in smash either because Activision most likely would demand all of Nintendo's money just to put crash into smash and Nintendo would never do that, and no, all the capcom mii costumes we got prove that capcom IS NOT getting a 4th character on the roster
