Re: Review: Affordable Space Adventures (Wii U eShop)

True, but I really was originally surprised by how unbelievable you thought it was that demos don't help sales. To me it makes perfect sense seeing as how most games don't live up to the hype and I could see a lot of ppl trying a bite-sized portion of a game and mistakenly deeming it unworthy.

I take it you meant to reply to me. It's not necessarily about censorship per-say.
It's about ppl not realizing that was written into the American constitution because many governments before had simply "censored"/killed ppl for speaking out. It's not there for ppl to be as profane, crass, and asinine as possible whenever they like. It's not like these kids get strung up by the neck for being idiots. So let's not act like we live in a totalitarian/facist society. All I'm saying is that there is a time and place to fight for individual liberties and a time and place to show some class.

Edit: and no I don't decide, society is supposed to. Those rights aren't there to act like animalistic morons, they're there to allow ppl to engage in open and honest dialogue about life.

I couldn't agree more. People think that freedom of speech is there so anyone can say whatever they want wherever and whenever they want. Concepts like decency, tact, and timing seem to be an afterthought. Freedom of speech is an understanding/law, in many countries, that you can speak your mind without fear of abuse, sentence of death by the state/public, and general rejection from the community/society.

You wanna know what parents aren't doing their jobs? The ones who have 6-14 yr old children being little $h!ts online and in public who later become garbage adults.

actually, "Jumbo Shrimp" isn't an oxymoron. It's a label/name describing the size of the shrimp. The word shrimp in that context isn't being used as a size adjective but as the creature's name.

Edit. Having looked online some sources do consider Jumbo Shrimp to be a oxymoron. But I think that is playing loosely with the Def of an oxymoron given that it's creatures name in that instance and not a size indicator.

Re: Talking Point: It's Too Early to Write Off the Wii U Over The Legend of Zelda's Delay

@MoonKnight7
While you are correct in that it's possible for a dual platform release. It is the exact OPPOSITE of the word ignorant, as you stated, to say that it won't (or very very likely won't) release on just one system. Given the precedence that there has ALWAYS been a dedicated Zelda on a Nintendo home console and also given the FACT that the Wii U isn't killing it profit wise. It would make perfect sense that it would release sooner than the NX and likely be one of the last big 1st party titles for the Wii U.

Again it is possible, but far from ignorant (unaware of facts, data, history, gen info) to say that this will be a Wii U exclusive, barring some remake, remaster, Ultra HD edition.

@NebulaGamer
I apologize that last part was poorly worded.I was reiterating that they have never not a released a Zelda belonging to just THAT home console, so no contradictions . And to your second point, IT NEVER did happen once before, that was my whole post. They have never not had a dedicated Zelda for a home console. The GC had WW before it shared TP. I may have worded the last part badly but please up your reading comprehension.

@Quorthon
I'm lobbing this at you, mostly because of your constant pessimism I've seen on this site, but it really is directed at the MANY saying this.
Nintendo has never, I repeat, never had a home console without its OWN Zelda. I don't know how so many self proclaimed experts and arm chair analysts could be missing this. I would be amazed if this Zelda ended on up on the NX and WiiU, they have not done that once (released no dedicated Zelda for that specific platform), yet because ONCE, they released a Zelda on 2 systems it must be the case this time as well. Smh.

Last parentheses are the edit portion.

Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U No Longer Set for 2015 Release

cantbedevin64

I'm not really feeling this delay. They really needed this game to come out this year for profit and image. I do want it made properly and will deal with the delay but when you're hurting like they are, image wise, you can't afford this kind of nonsense. The knockout punch is not showing it at E3, what a horrible business move. I love Nintendo and don't want a 2 party console environment, but they are really pushing the limits on what this industry and the consumers will allow. Thank god they have millions in the bank.

Re: Nintendo to Lead Design and Development of Smart Device Games, But Shigeru Miyamoto's Priority Remains the Wii U

cantbedevin64

@Yorumi

The division of development you speak of, is assuming that the NX won't allow for easier cross development thus allowing them to easily spare some ppl for easy to make demo-ish mobile games.

You also site recent profitable ventures then go on to say they weren't used towards current consumer satisfaction, yet expecting week or month long turn arounds on that sort of thing in this business is insane. They may very well be re-investing those profits into what you say they aren't, it doesn't happen over nite with game development.

Re: Talking Point: It's Time for a Nintendo Direct to Set the Agenda

cantbedevin64

Gonna go for broke.

  • Announcement that Nintendo will partner with SE for a Chrono Trigger sequel (or some great game.)
  • F-Zero announced/teased for E3.
  • Star Fox.
  • Mario Maker.
  • Zelda U (maybe even get an actual title.)
  • New 3D adventure IP, maybe some amiibo game, or new Metroid.
  • More XC:X.
    Pure fantasy I know, but 2015 would be one helluva year for Nintendo if that list came true.
