survival horror is a specific subgenre of horror games and none of the ones you mentioned are part of it. neither are Dark Souls or Luigis Mansion, but Nintendolife doesn’t seem to grasp that either so I guess you’re in good company here 😉

@ironwolfajw all of those games have no combat whatsoever and are thus decidedly not SURVIVAL horror…

Never understood the hate Yooka 1 got. At least not from Banjo fans. It is as dull and uninteresting as Banjo was and plays the same, so why is one beloved and the other hated, I see no difference between them.

Also Paytonic announced a faithful Banjo clone, everyone was exited. They delivered a faithful Banjo clone and everyone hated it… people are a strange kind of animal indeed!

Metal Gear Solid 2 came out in 2001…

The game itself is great and plays like a mix of classic RE and Silent Hill (1 and 3 especially). As long as the Switch port is decent I can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone that appreciates this style of games.

No, the native port is, hands down, the definitive edition of the game!

Also playable on Switch ofc.
Get a copy of the original game and play the proper version in good conscience.

@CharlieGirl the “Expansion Pack” that contains N64 is strictly optional and contains N64 and Genesis/ Mega Drive only (for now).

The Power A controllers might look nice (although I don’t care for this one), but they feel so cheap while being too pricey for the quality you get.

Streamers should be punished differently indeed.

By streaming themselves using cheats they influence others, younger players especially, to maybe try the same.

If some unknown guy cheats he hamrs only the players in his current game!

Good ol Ninja should try and wrap his colorful head around that.
