@BlatantlyHeroic I think you are selling Nintendo short on the quality of its previous endeavors.
Mario Galaxy was top notch quality. That's a wii title. The wii had a handful of pretty good first party titles.
But Splatoon and SSB for wii u Was a huuuuuggggeeee sign that Nintendo has not lost it one bit.
You can't hit a homerun every time. But Nintendo games have not went down in quality overall. They may of had a bad showing here or there (i.e. Mario party 10, animal crossing amiibo festival) but not enough bad showings to signal an overall loss of quality.
@TossedLlama this article is about the 3DS Xenoblade Chronicles which is a remake of the Wii Version. You asked if you have to play the Wii game to know the story. This game is the Wii version. Just remade for the New 3DS. The new Wii U sequel called X will prolly have a diff story.

Can someone please explain to me why Zelda has games like Hyrule warriors, triforce heroes, and links cross bow training.
Mario has mario kart, mario party, tennis,soccer, golf, baseball, Luigi's mansion, and even super princess peach.
It's called a spin off. Not a main series game but takes place in that universe.
Metroid Comes out with a spin off and everyone acts like a bunch of spoiled rich kids, cursing out Nintendo and petitioning to stop game development.
Didn't they already have a spin called metroid pinball. Why didn't people lose their minds over that one?
People bash the game before they even play it. Cry babies.

@BulkSlash there is no off screen mode in star fox. It utilizes both screens the whole time. Kind of like Splatoon.
