I will admit when it was released in 2003, I was part of the anti cel-shading team. But over the years, I’ve come to appreciate its charm.
To this day, it’s one of the most replayable of the Zelda games in my opinion. The story is great, the sailing mechanic is unique, the dungeons are awesome, the NPCs are fun to interact with.
I’m excited to dive back in (no pun intended) and re-experience this incredible game.
I’ve put in a few hours playing mostly free roam and online battles so far. Honestly, I found myself getting bored.
In MK8, my sister and I can play online battle mode for hours! We love shine thief and the Luigi’s mansion course. In MKW, there’s only two battle types, balloon battle and coin runners, and most of the courses are way too big. Even for 24 players.
To be fair, I probably need to give the game more of a chance and explore other racing modes. But so far I’m underwhelmed.
