The game just looks and feels unfinished, if I’m honest. I love Pokemon, but the quality of the recent games just isn’t up to standards. I was really excited to explore Lumiose City again, but it just feels barren. Most building look the same and you can hardly go inside any of them. Character models are definitely an improvement over the last few games but still feel flat and lifeless. The lack of voice acting also just feels off.
Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon were the last really good pokemon games in my opinion. It’s been a slow decline since the Switch era began. Makes me real sad, to be honest.
@Nintendan64 feel very similar. The battle system was fun until it wasn’t, if you get what I mean? At first it was quite refreshing, but it became repetitive very quickly.
@spiderman0616 Yes, from a graphical standpoint I think Z-A looks pretty good, at least of Switch 2. With a bit more tweaking I think they could finally nail an art style that works perfectly for modern Pokémon. Of course, I’ll always be a sucker for the pixel sprite work of the GBA and DS games, but times have changed.
As a long time Pokémon fanatic, it makes me a little sad that I just can’t get into the Legends games. I like turn-based combat and don’t particularly like the lack of gyms. That’s not to say either are bad games, they're just not for me. Looking forward to Gen 10 though.
Z-A seems like a step in the right direction in terms of objective quality, following on from the poor launch of Scarlet and Violet, so thats definitely a positive.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Patent Supposedly Points To Return Of DS Games
My childhood! Would be ecstatic to see DS (and Wii, for that matter) hit NSO.
Re: Gallery: Here's Another Look At GameCube Games On Switch 2
Look forward to hopefully getting Wii virtual console on Switch 2. Would love to have Galaxy 2 on the system.
