Re: Square Enix Wants To Bring Dragon Quest VII To The West, But Doesn't Know If You'll Bite

I own the original and consider it the best Dragon Warrior / Quest. I found all the remakes on ds for the ones that got released in the West to be worse than the older versions. I would buy it when it goes down in price because Squeenix rather sucks nowadays. If the 3ds dq7 was exactly the same as the ps1 version, just upgraded graphics, I would be a happy camper, though I would rather see a digital release of the original on consoles instead of a handheld version.

He looks a bit on the cartoonish side with the HD graphics, which would of annoyed me if he looked like that in Xenoblade as that art style would of really clashed with the story. Now that my only gripe is over with.

He looks really cool, and I really like how they implemented his sword powers. As for his "underwear", those were his shorts when you donned certain armors. Nice thing about that game, armor and weapons actually change on the character models.

@Jazzer94 Nintendo isn't obligated, I agree. But they created a certain expectation in club nintendo members, and this year, they failed on that expectation greatly. Now people will be less likely to buy new for working club nintendo codes, and people are more likely to not buy as many full price nintendo games because they don't have anything to look forward to for gold or platinum status. That is how it is now with me. I will no longer bother to go out of my way to earn platinum, if I get it, I get it, if not, oh well.

@Jazzer94 The reason is I am responding to a post you made. I don't believe these games are free. Nintendo is giving a reward to people who buy their games new, for full price. I have had this discussion before, and when somebody uses the phrase "free" for this, I usually say it isn't. You can choose whether or not to continue this discussion with me, because I feel pretty confident in my stance on the issue, or can just ignore me, but I just felt like putting my opinion out there too. And since your post was the first one that caught my eye, I responded to you.

Already own every game I care about on the list, so these rewards are utterly worthless to me. I go out of my way to buy games new to be guaranteed club nintendo working codes, and this is the thanks I get, a regression to digital games only, which I do not support, digital that is. If I had known this was going to happen last year, I wouldn't of gone out of my way to buy new.

Re: Soapbox: Ignoring The Objectification Of Women In Games Won't Make the Problem Go Away

This game has an age rating of Teen. Teens are usually past the impressionable brain stage of development. This is pretty much the same thing as tons of other shows on t.v. be they gore, over the top comedy, like South Park, and so on. As somebody said earlier, if a teenager is going to get their morals and ways to live from a game, then something is terribly wrong with their parents.

Live and let live. The developers of this game aren't hurting anybody. The only ones who feel hurt are those who are so ingrained in feminism that seeing an underwear model in a commercial makes them take up arms.
