While it certainly has flaws, it is not even close to as bad as people make it out to be. Play it. It’s short, interesting, and unique. I’d really love to see another shot taken at that style of Metroid. You can see how it could be so much better if they tweaked a few things.
Hori did an interview years back where he said he’d be interested in doing an offline 10 for western audiences. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game exists mainly for the west in the first place. It will get announced eventually.
@Tyranexx what they really mean is “Switch doesn’t have the casual audience AAA releases that the other platforms have”. Nintendo has always catered more toward core gamers. Casuals just don’t like to call themselves what they are while they play the same shooters and sports games over and over.
I think a lot of people will make the mistake of sleeping on this. As for me, I’m grabbing it if there’s a physical. Enjoyed the first on PC, and apparently the next two are much better.
I take that to mean something more like “something is going to happen to Bayonetta in the next game that could have an effect on the voice actor’s role”. After all, the trailer was pretty ominous with her apparent demise…
I think they’ll give some space to Shin Megami Tensei V before Xenoblade 3. I hope to hear about it soon, but don’t expect it this year. If anything, maybe December. Also, Nahobino will be the final smash character. Just saying.
I wouldn’t expect a “trilogy” game card. Individually released, sure, but that’s a lot of game to squeeze into one card. And if there were plans to release trilogy physical, why bother with 1 physical? I kind of question if they’d go through with physical individually or just leave the other two as digital. Fingers crossed tho.
@BloodNinja certainly I don’t want to do away with online sales altogether, just the limited editions. People who need to import will still need to import either way, and services exist which can help them make their “in person” purchases, if they need to. Not the ideal solution, and importers need to pay higher prices, but regional service is sort of another problem altogether. Supply and demand is the problem, and scalpers are forcing supply issues, while demand will never change. Either companies need to stop making “limited” editions, or we need to fix the scalping problem.
All they have to do is not sell LEs online. Then people can just go to the store in person and get what they want without having to fight bots. It works for consumers because they have a fighting chance, and it works for retailers because it gets people in the stores.
Panzer is good now, House of the Dead is looking good, and the Square series might be the Saga series which I believe is supposed to keep coming out, or maybe console ports of the FF pixel remasters…?
I think it’s strange to say that they’d have to convert to normal controls. Joycon can emulate the pointer controls, though I suppose that’s not “up to standard” to say that it can’t be played in handheld mode. I mean, there are handheld only releases tho... why not TV mode only?
@Ulanda I'm saying those ARE coming to Switch. There is no English version of the SNES part 1, so it would be extra work to make, and I'm guessing they feel that the remake version is enough. While I'd love an SNES version, I'd prefer seeing an HD version of the remake (Minstrel's Song) anyway, and I'm happy enough just to see most of the series in some form at all on Switch, if anywhere at all. This is a pretty niche series that I thought was as good as dead. Now if only my import copy of Frontier would hurry up and get here...
@Ulanda Starting by testing the waters with the two most critically acclaimed games (2+3), then moving onto everything else, starting with the most nostalgic in the West (Collection, Frontier) seems like a good way to introduce people to me...? Having the PS2 remake of 1 instead of the SNES original also seems like better option. Scarlet Grace IS a mobile game that was enhanced and ported to consoles, and is also very highly regarded... I'm not sure what you're looking for here... They aren't continuous stories if that's what you're thinking. You don't need to play 1 first.
@SwitchVogel I dont care much for digital unless it’s super cheap. I would’ve already bought a lot of their games if they had physical versions, and that’s probably a lot to do with why they didn’t sell. I’m stuck importing what I can. How hard could it be for them to slap 75% off one more game? Hell, was Spelunker Party making them tons of money? I don’t get how they can just completely forget a game...

Re: Random: Hey, A Switch Online N64 Game Description Mentions Golden Sun
If they aren’t going to finish a story, don’t bother.
Re: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Gets A Meaty File Size, By Switch Standards
If it isn’t on 32gb card, I can see them putting 3 and SA on a 16gb card and downloading VC.
Re: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Gets A Meaty File Size, By Switch Standards
@Stocksy if there’s any franchise that can “do a Witcher 3” it’s GTA. I’ll hold out hope, but I won’t place any bets.
Re: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Gets Confirmed Release Date, First Trailer And Screenshots
GTA is high enough profile that I won’t lose hope that there is a 32gb card for the physical version. Really hoping that the port is good though…
Re: Can't Find Dying Light On The Switch eShop? It Might Be Because It's Currently Banned In Germany
I want to buy the game but for some reason the version with physical bonuses is coming later… sigh.

Is there a physical?
Re: Nintendo Share Value Continues Downward Trend As Major Investor Reportedly 'Dumps' Stock
I might actually invest in them. I don’t expect Nintendo is going to start dying any time soon. The price will bounce back like it always always does.

Come on Nahobino!

I’d grab it if it’s physical.

Seriously, folders tho.

Holding out for a physical that never comes… as usual.

Re: Aspyr Is Bringing The Classic BioWare RPG Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic To Switch
Sorry, that day belongs to Shin Megami Tensei V.
Re: Video: Nintendo Drops A New Metroid Dread Commercial
@Zeldawakening what does that even mean? There will never be another direct? Get a hold of yourself man.

Re: Review: Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin - A Franchise Riding High
@JaxonH glad to hear it. Is that tweet credible? Strange that Capcom can’t address it themselves…
Re: Review: Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin - A Franchise Riding High
Still, canceled preorder until I’m sure the game is actually on the game card.
Re: BioWare Had Plans For A First-Person Mass Effect Game On Nintendo DS
Only 50,000? Seriously?
Re: Grab A New Spirit In Smash Bros. With Your Monster Hunter Stories 2 Save File
That’s odd. I have a save but didn’t get anything. Do you have to finish the demo maybe?

Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On The Shin Megami Tensei V Premium Edition
@BloodNinja Don't even know where to begin with that... I'll leave it to more interested parties. I'm out.
Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On The Shin Megami Tensei V Premium Edition
@BloodNinja fixing scalping requires fixing supply, or demand. I suggested fixing supply, by making it difficult to scalp, no by fixing demand.
Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On The Shin Megami Tensei V Premium Edition
@Allspice it’s worked better than this for decades.
Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On The Shin Megami Tensei V Premium Edition

Re: Retro: The Anticlimactic Quest To Find The Person Behind Metroid's Most Famous 'Cheat Code'
I thought I’d read that it was a foreign phrase. “In Bailey” meant in a bathing suit, hence “just in bailey” put you in Samus’s OTHER suit.

You know, the weirdest part is that there's only one listing on ebay for it so far...
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V Premium Edition Pre-Orders Go Live Alongside A New Trailer
@WhiteUmbrella they wouldn’t have to if they could just walk into a store and get what they want.
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V Premium Edition Pre-Orders Go Live Alongside A New Trailer
@Personausermike And all it would take is to stop doing online preorders.
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V Premium Edition Pre-Orders Go Live Alongside A New Trailer
@Ralizah Sigh... if only they shipped to the US...

Nintendo will have a great showing and probably even the best, but I think you guys might be underestimating Sony and especially Microsoft.

@BulbasaurusRex just because gyro isn’t as accurate as the sensor bar, doesn’t mean they can’t do it.

They never seem to remember that The Last Remnant exists...
Re: Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa
Little Nemo was one of the best NES games ever. Period. This looks pretty cool, I'd buy it if I had any room on my system.
