Could be true I just spoke to Nintendo Customer Services to ask if I would be able to register my device with club Nintendo as it doesn't come with any card in it like usual and they said they're waiting on head office to tell them in the next week and then emails will be sent out to the 'select few club Nintendo members' to give details on registration.
Mines 10 mins away according to the tracking website. I paid for next day delivery and ordered it at 7pm I didn't realise they would still ship it at that time. So excited! I also managed to get pokemon ORAS early when I preordered from Nintendo.
@Inkling yeah just thought I would warn people trying to make their mind up.. Me too and I admit I paid next day delivery should be with me today I'm really hoping it has a number on it to signify its part of limited stock. Etched under the faceplate or something.

What I will say is if you got the email and you want one get in soon as it said whilst stocks last so there may be a limited number even to those who were emailed. To add in I have 11250 stars since first registration and have registered the DS, Wii, WiiU, 3DSxl & 2DS so I don't know if that has any reason for getting the email or not..?
I haven't had my delivery either. Apparently ordering it back in March wasn't long enough for them to realise that I actually wanted it on release day. Guys who are in my boat make sure you contact nintendo and report this to them as they were talking about compensation. I believe this has affected a lot of people as when I was speaking to nintendo the guy say 'a number Uhm a handful of people have been affected' makes me think they're trying to play down the situation.
Nope I definitely won't be getting it as it was logged in at Manchester for the 3rd time at 5:17pm and I'm in bristol but that's great your got yours I just hope mine actually turns up tomorrow!
@Charlosa Well I haven't received any apology from Yodel, the closest I got was a sadface.. They haven't offered me any pre 12pm delivery and I live in the South West. The last response I got from Nintendo was this: [12:17:21] Kurt: We are hopeful for the next update from yodel being in the next 1-2 hours. I do apologise for the delay I had to contact our courier team. You: ok Well I guess I'll just wait then.. Is there going to be anything done about this if it doesnt arrive until tomorrow because this is shocking Kurt: That will be something that is currently being discussed and as such I do not have information on at this time.
I pre ordered this in march from nintendo UK with the blue shell and it's not getting delivered today because the carrier (yodel) don't understand what next day delivery means.. Having spoken to nintendo customer service I'm apparently not the only one who hasn't received it because of yodel and after contacting yodel they responded saying there were issues in the sorting hub and it won't be delivered until tomorrow. They haven't even offered an apology. I'm extremely mad.
@absuplendous I would like to add to this point.. For the nintendo DS titles all our UK box was white with just the name of the game on the spine where as North America had black boxes more interesting box art and more detail on the spine.. So if you want to be like that then you could say the UK lost out on every game in the DS series.... Tired of Americans whining about missing out when here in the UK we rarely get anything special such as limited edition consoles etc you ask any collector and they'll point out Japan gets the most with NA coming in soon after.
@ikki5 I'm just glad i preordered my limited edition copy with bullet bill t shirt and red shell keyring back in March as can't see any limited editions in stock in the UK any more
@Spartacus3765 it's sold out in the UK and I doubt amazon actually have any left in stock a lot of the time amazon accept pre orders when there out of stock because it doesn't matter to them as they've taken no money they don't have to honour them.
@Akera099 I like how you guys are moaning when it's usually Europe that loses out on everything. We rarely get any special edition consoles let alone limited edition games. You better be quick if you want it though as it's sold out in the UK. I'm glad I pre ordered mine back in March as I also get a bullet bill t-shirt and red shell keyring.. Not to rub salt into the wound or anything.
