I didn't even know it was possible to end act One by defeating the last judge instead of phantom. The game very heavily nudges you towards the phantom route, as that's where the quest markers take you. I thought the blasted steps was just a completely optional area.
@AndrewR if Nintendo were smarter, they would wait to ban the switch until 31 days after the original buyer sets up the switch with their Nintendo account. At that point the person can't just return it to GameStop or Best Buy. Doesn't stop them from selling it on ebay, but it's significantly limits their ability to get any of their money back.
@Kiz3000 Doug Bowser would say "we have a product for fans who are unhappy with the changes made in the most recent Mario Kart World update. It's called Mario Kart 8 deluxe."
The adapter is clearly meant to be used with the system facing out. It's very easy to line up if you just place it down while holding it by the Joycons. I agree it's not as seamless as the stock dock, but pulling it off the adapter is as simple as using your thumb to hold the adapter down while pulling the system up with your other hand, or lifting the system by the joycon and using both thumbs to press against the base of the adapter. It takes me like an extra 2 seconds to use the adapter. Calling it seamless is inaccurate, but this is a nothing burger that redditors are only harping on because of the Joycon detaching issue they've been losing their minds over.
@Rueckkoppler it's not a third party dock. It's literally just a 6" extension cable in plastic housing. The actual dock is doing all the video output and voltage tweaking.
@RupeeClock where are you from because I've never heard anyone refer to their boyfriend, fiance or spouse as partner. That's certainly not common parlance anywhere I've ever been. None of the gay people I know do it. Not even the one trans couple I know. They all use typical American relationship titles. Partner is a business term in 97% of cases here.
