This game was memorable in both good and bad ways. The story and characters had plenty of personality to go around. The graphics on the 3DS were stupendous considering that there was just so much movement going on in the screen. Online was lag-free through and throughout. One big problem I had with this game: gameplay. The controls were responsive, but very uncomfortable. In my experience, the hand that holds the stylus pen kept getting sore to the point of cramping. It is one issue, but it totally out-weighs the enjoyment of the game.
If there is a new game coming, then, just simply polish the gameplay. I would liked Kid Icarus after playing Uprising.
it seems like with time, 200cc became my natural speed. I am able to effectively use the breaks. Also, 200cc has forced me to use karts because the bikes that I always use do the inside drifts, which in 200cc really hurt you. I don't feel comfortable using the other bikes, so karts was my answer.
I honestly think they can clean up the roster selection screen in the sense where spots like Tanooki Mario, Metal Mario, Cat Peach, Pink Gold Peach, and possibly the Koopalings can be categorized to their respective characters (like they did with Yoshi, Villager, and Shy Guy). That way, those freed spots can be used for new characters. It sure is a possibility, but there are other things that can be added to the game. Certainly, the main thing had to be Battle Mode--whether it be classic SNES, or a Double Dash mode where you can play old Bom-ob battles, Shines, et cetera. Anything can happen to keep MK8 going, and the WiiU to undoubtedly sell. There is no way dlc is over for MK8
This sounds and feels very convoluted. I mean, I can understand 2 seperate games, kinda like Pokemon, but to have the stores only force you to take one game, and buy the other as dlc is just very word maketing practice. I have never heard of this before.
150cc is no big deal nowadays. 200cc, although, an awesome addition, will make the already short courses feel like a 1 lap race. With 200cc, Nintendo could also give the player the option to add more laps to the library of courses, or just automatically give them a set amount of laps in this new difficulty.
I am a big JRPG fan. Modern RPG even more. I love FE. I love Persona. This looks more PersonaxFE than SMT. Granted, I havent played a SMT but plenty of Persona. I dont care if this isnt literally a crossover of FE or SMT, I am ecstatic that there is a JRPG title on a Nintendo home console!!
It is way too soon for people to be bashing this game. I am sure with more Nintendo Directs, the FE and SMT elements will be revealed for this game.
