Looks like a good game and I'm glad people are enjoying it. Initially didn't see what this game was going for but I got more interested after learning what team was behind it. Personally, ditto still looks a bit silly for my liking, but that's just me. I think I'll wait until after I play dragon quest builders (and its sequel) to play this one though to allow my wallet to recover from the RE generation pack.
@Vyacheslav333 To be a little more specific, I would describe the difference like this: mainline MH games are action RPGs with 14 unique weapons that all play differently. The game plays most similarly, in my opinion, to Dark Souls; it's quite a bit faster but still involves anticipating the actions of the monster, much like Dark Souls, so that you aren't hit during your attack animation (depending on your weapon of choice, this may be more or less important). MH Stories is turn-based and uses a rock-paper-scissors style battle system, in which you will do more damage and maybe avoid enemy attacks if you pick the right style of attack. It has a big focus on the story, especially compared to mainline MH which doesn't have very much (MH4U is a bit of an exception). The series has a fairly in-depth gene system in which you use "genes" to improve the performance of your monsters in battle, which sort of takes the place of the skill system in the main series in which you activate certain skills to improve your hunting performance by equipping different armor pieces and charms. Stories is mainly compared to pokemon but it is a little more like SMT/Persona. It is party-based, rather than 1v1, and emphasizes using the right attack types to take advantage of the enemy's weakness much more than non-competitive pokemon (though Stories of course does not use the press-turn system or the same style of enemy recruitment). So there you go, a more in-depth description than you needed or wanted but as a JRPG/MH fan I needed to do it. You're welcome
