I think it’s neat Nintendo decided to shine the spotlight on the under-appreciated Virtual Boy and its games all these years later. It’s a decision I believed would never happen. Now it’s here, and I wish it all the success in the world.
With that, however, I likely won’t be picking one up very soon. I have an absurd back-catalogue of games I need to get to, and limited time. I can’t justify the purchase. Perhaps someday it’ll happen though.
I’ll be curious to see how things pan out for Metroid Prime 4 over a longer duration. I’m not certain alarm bells should be sounding at this stage. That said, word of mouth seems to be trumping initial impressions of the game. Given the cost of games, I was convinced to hold off on the title out of the gate. However, this has never been my series.
It’s unfortunate, in my opinion, as expectations were sky high for this game, especially after Nintendo decided to reboot development. I feel for those passionate about the Prime series.
I wasn’t sure about this one, as I never played the previous entry. However, I decided to check out the Direct and see what the game was about. Ultimately, I came away impressed with what I saw.
I’m sitting on a couple game vouchers, so I decided to go ahead and pre-order the title. I’m a fan of both Animal Crossing and The Sims, so I think this will hit the right notes for me. I’m looking forward to April 16.
