I don't care what anyone says this gets an 8. I'd give this game a 9/10. Also, you should not compare it to other past Zelda titles. And of course it doesn't really bring anything new other than just the Wolf Link gameplay in its own right. The dungeons weren't actually that bad to me, and finishing the whole game took me about 3 or 4 months to do but it really was worth it! The Cave of Ordeals was probably the only thing that frustrated me until I finally reached the 50th floor. What SilverBlacktail said above his post, it's still a great game.
I know this will get hate posts, but I thought the Wolf Link gameplay was great.
This is still a brilliant game! It shouldn't of got at least a 9. I finished the whole game 100% and played for over 100 hours (according to the Quest Log save file). I am a huge fan of the Zelda games and am still enjoying them. Plus, I bought a Wii console back in October 2008 and this game in December last year (2009). This is still my favorite game of all-time and hoping Skyward Sword will be better. You need to re-review this.
I'm still thinking about redoing this game, perhaps sooner or later...
My only gripe is that the graphics feel very outdated and quite old to be perfectly honest. But hey, that actually doesn't change too much for me because I still think there are no flaws later in the game.
This game just frustrates many hardcore gamers. The warp pipes does indeed take you back to the beginning. Wait a minute...reversed pipes? I'm in an underground level wanting to warp to another world and I go all my way back to the start?! And I'm in a castle avoiding the lava pits and everything else but STILL get killed?!?! Over and over again?! ARRRGH!!!!!
It's not my favourite game, but it is very fun to play. The original is still the best.
There is only one thing I hate in Majora's Mask...
...Is the timer. It probably ruined everything. Reset, you get the idea, right? Resets everything else except for rupees at the bank shop in Clock Town, and the items you achieved but loses the amount of them once you go back in time.
As I've also forgotten to say, Sonic R was probably okay in that matter. However, it didn't really feel like a Sonic racer to me. I'm glad Sega brought out this game which is definitely great and one of the true Sonic racers.
I didn't like how they screwed up the online mode, making it far too long to load up global players and yet those stupid hackers ruining the entire fun. There is hardly no lag in the mode, but only one shoddy flaw that suffers it, same with the fact that the single race mode has no random option. The replayability, to me, is quite excellent as it takes weeks and weeks to complete everything. Still, one of the best Sonic racers available on Wii, PS3, 360, DS and PC.
A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, I don't really know which is far better than the other. Sigh.
There all great, to me that is. I never really played the portable versions of the Zelda games, which I never did before when I was born in 1995 (no, not 1985). The Wind Waker, The Minish Cap or Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks on DS, haven't played those either. I might be getting a GBA for my birthday this year. My birth date is - October 02.
The Mario and Zelda games are still brilliant, one of the best franchises I've ever played in the history of gaming. Later on, I'm gonna finish up A Link to the Past 100% completely and start this game all over, but THIS time, get the Deku Nut upgrade in the Lost Woods as a child FIRST before becoming an adult.
Just wanted to stop by for a quick post. This game really does look and sound better than the original.
10/10 is well deserved for this game. Although I wouldn't bother with Nintendo Power's score, 9.7? Seriously? If this game has no flaws, why a 9.7 score?
Anyways, I must go and do something else before I get this game on June 11th. I'll be back here 'til the EU release of SMG2. Thanks and bye for now.
One of the best Zelda games released for the SNES. I recently done all 11 dungeons (3 in the Light World and 8 in the Dark World). The replayability is just excellent - achieving the heart containers/pieces and adding every single item to your inventory menu is wonderful. The graphics of course have aged very well.
I don't really know which Zelda game is far better than this. Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess. I just cannot pick, I simply can't. Zelda games, to this day, still hold up very well, in my own opinion. Let's see... Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, in which those are very good ones. Twilight Princess (Wii/GCN), fantastic.
...Oh well, I give up. There probably a tie for me at least. A Link to the Past is simply the best Zelda game ever made. Excellent replay value, clean and crisp graphics, great gameplay and a perfect difficulty system. Now enough of this, I must go finish this game 100% fully.
You Americans can still enjoy the game, though. I will be getting this on June 11th. This is my last comment until that day of release in EU. Thanks and many regards.
Another 2D Mario would be great for me. I am a big fan of those games, and it would be nice to see the next one announced. I really want the Tanooki, Frog and Hammer Suit returned, and possibly the cape feather from SMW.
The next Zelda should have more dungeons, items, and a higher difficulty system. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
Wow! I'm really surprised this has another 10/10 score (for a Mario game).
Fantastic. These Mario games are still getting 10/10s all over, and that's making the world better than usual. I will be getting this game in June, looking forward to playing the Mario 64 level.
All right, from now on, we'll just have to wait for Nintendo to bring us the 60Hz option to the Wii Shop Channel (or its VC games alone). THEN we'll have full screen and faster gameplay speed. And then we'll just stop with all the dang complaining about it. Hopefully in Summer, they will bring us Europeans the 60Hz option sooner or later.
The only game that bothers me about the PAL problem is the Super Mario Bros. original on the NES. The music running too fast is just not correct, and the black borders suffers its problems from making it an ugly letterbox. Of course, the gameplay runs at the same speed, but the developers at Nintendo needs to wake up and either fix this issue or bring us the dang option to us Europeans. The Lost Levels, which is Hanabi Festival, runs at faster speed and in full screen resolution (which is great).
Thankfully, most actual Wii games have both the 50Hz/60Hz options, but not all of them. There are 2 games that lacks 60Hz, if I am correct - MadWorld and Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility.
Surely Sonic 2 (NTSC) runs the same in PAL form, but those borders needs to be erased off the screen.
EDIT: [June 21 2010] Ugh! We have waited so long for Nintendo to give us the 60Hz option, but Nintendo STILL isn't listening to us! Why are we Europeans still stuck with the problematic 50Hz option? The company's still not giving us that option for absolutely no reason. I've still been wanting to play the most popular title Super Mario Bros. in American format. Man, those borders and faster music really annoys me it does, same with Sonic the Hedgehog. Ah well, perhaps they're still working on the new Wii games. Nintendo just doesn't listen to us.
Well then, I'm off. But come on Nintendo! Just bring us the option already! It's not that hard for you, is it? Please do it as soon as you can. Thank you and many regards.
This game does deserve an 8/10. It really doesn't feel like a Mario game. SMB, SMB3 and SMW are far superior. It's still a good game, don't give me wrong, but it just feels like a plain joke to me (especially Sunshine).
What also makes this game worse is the higher difficulty level, IMO. The later levels are so dang frustrating.
You know what Mario game is much harder than this one? The Lost Levels, that one is just TOO HARD!!!
Why are you trying to tell people to read your comment first? Doesn't that really make sense to your opinion, or what?
EDIT: [May 24 2010] Besides, in my opinion, this is definitely one of the better Zelda games available on Wii/GCN. The bigger hub world system and tremendous replay value is worth it, this is truly an amazing game.
Yuck, the worst game of all time. My sister got this in the post in November '09. Ugh, I can't stand with the repetitive tunes, imo. But this shouldn't of got a 3/10 or a 2/10 score, in my humble opinion.
I prefer the AWESOME Wii games. (Brawl, Paper, Galaxy, Bros., Kart, Twilight, etc.)
Overall, I don't recommend this to anybody. Yes, it's really that bad and it's not really worth it. Think about the next Nintendo title that you are REALLY waiting for - Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pikmin, StarFox, etc., all other Nintendo titles.
OK, so this game has co-op, where only one person (P1) can control Mario/Luigi, and the other which only uses a Wii Remote (P2). And now in Galaxy 2, where the second player can not only use the star pointer (if I am right), but can also control a red Luma. So I guess maybe Galaxy 2 can use up to 4 players, maybe?
But still the best Wii game. I just hope this will be replaced as first for Galaxy 2 on the ONM.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2
Fantastic game. Better than the original. 10/10.
Re: Review: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
I'm back.
Got the game and I must say, it's wonderful. More better than the first one, that's for sure.
It looks as though the game is already starting to get more difficult than I expected it to be. Well good, I'm glad it is.
Oh yeah, and screw all the Yoshi haters out there. He's awesome.
Galaxy 2 (for me) - 10/10.

Best game on the SNES, better graphics, better levels and better replayability. An absolute must-have and a steal for 800 points.

This is the only NES game that got a 10/10. One of the best NES games ever and a must-have for 500 points.
