A (let's hope even) somewhat-decent plot for Splatoon 3's Hero Mode:
Pearl becomes a tyrant accidentally, and gets trolled by Octavio into helping him. Doesn't get hypnotized, but legit works for him WILLINGLY, cuz she has no prior idea of who he is. Callie, Marie, and Marina recruit a new woomy/veemo to help stop the two. (By the way, they're double uncultured, like Agent 4 was with Marie. Agent # has never heard of Off the Hook OR the Squid Sisters. ["For eel?! You've never heard of me?!"]) Partway through, Agents 3, 4, and 8 pop up, saying, "Sup? We're gonna help." Que the first ever multiplayer Hero Mode, or don't, and have the four agents be playable characters with separate abilities or whatever. Have some decent, challenging bosses this time, including doing a different final boss. Ending: Pearl realizes she was an idiot, and Off the Hook reforms!
Oh hey, Bonus if the new game's idols pop up to help as well.
Welp. This is Splashi's essay of torture about a probably bad plot. Skip over this entire thing if you wish, don't mind me--
