I picked up a Switch 2 over the holidays and I love it. I think I’ve turned on my PS5 maybe twice to play BF6 since I got it. Anything I can play on the Switch 2, I will.
That said, it’s not hard to see why it struggled over the holidays. Until Pokopia, there was no true “must-have” system-selling type game for Switch 2. It was clear MKW wasn’t doing it, especially since MK8 is still popular. The “Switch 2 Editions” are a nice bonus for people that did upgrade from the OG Switch, not something that’s going to sell a console.
I’m not overly concerned at the moment. The system is an amazing piece of kit, is priced fairly in my opinion, and the versatility is unmatched. Nintendo just needs to get on a steady release schedule of Switch 2 only first party games.
@BLK_4EVER I agree at least in part. Up until Pokopia, there was no real “must-have” game on Switch 2, and this is coming from someone that picked up a S2 over the holidays.
I disagree about price being a factor. The system is priced fairly as is, in my opinion. It plays in the same ballpark as the Steam Deck and undercuts similar gaming handhelds from ROG and ASUS, including the Xbox Ally.

I’m just glad Nintendo still acknowledges that Star Fox exists. Maybe we’ll FINALLY get an actual and proper Star Fox game on Switch 2?
