@axelhander All good, also my bad if my comment came off wrongly. It's just time that SNK gets the credit they deserve is all I really meant.

You are correct though that Nintendo gets brushed over when they do things that other companies get crapped on for.

I'm one that lives by "treat all companies with the same energy regardless of if it's your favorite company or not".

@axelhander Nah, not tomato tomato, it's time SNK started getting the credit they deserve. They've innovated so much into fighting games that others get credit for it's crazy. Rage arts/drive, Super Meter, Super Moves/come back mechanic, Spot Dodges, Roll Evades, Parry, Short/Hyper hops, Alpha Counters (Albeit called Guard Cancel Blowback because SNK had it first), Max Mode Activation, etc. Tekken, Mortal Kombat (specifically 11), Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, Smash Bros and more have all utilize mechanics that SNK has created. Tekken with Rage Arts/Drive, Heat System, MK with short hops in 11 and roll evades, Street Fighter with darn near everything past the health bar and combo system they mistakenly developed, Guilty Gear with Roman Cancels, and more. All SNK tech. Even the crossover game and guest characters idea was SNK. KOF is literally SNK's crossover series and SNK was doing guest character crossovers with Ryo in Fatal Fury before Any other company so MvC, CvS, TvC, PXZ, P4A, Etc all were inspired by SNK. A good bit of the tech in C, A and P grooves were never in Capcom games. I can't remember any Capcom game that has a universal roll evade mechanic (I could be mistaken but I doubt it). And this is from a fgc member also since the early 90s. I've played a ton all the way back from SF1 all the way to Battle Arena Toshinden, to FX Fighter, Primal Rage, Brutal Paws Of Fury, Eternal Champions, Criticom, Way Of The Warrior, Thrill Kill, Zero Divide, Bloody Roar, Megatudo 2096, Gundam Battle Assault, MvC, TvC, CvS, All the way to modern fighters.

@axelhander Yeah because Smash isn't a variant of Street Fighter 2. It's literally inspired by KOF all the way to the universal spot dodges and even the roll evades and short hops. Street Fighter doesn't have any of that. Closest thing to street fighter I can give it is punches and kicks and throws. Even the Smash Bros invitation is a direct copy from the KOF invitation and super moves/Final Smashes were created by SNK not Capcom. Super/Rage Meter in general was created by SNK.
