Re: First Bomberman Blitz Screenshots Released

Nintendude92

To those who have played either Bomberman 2 (NOT land touch) or Custom Battler Bomberman- the battle pak in those is what you would get here. The video preview of this game matches it in all regards. Not a bad thing, now we can actually have some life on the DS Bomberman scene.

So my assumption is like all NDS bomberman tittles is that the online will sport 4; not 8 players online. Hudson's advertisement on their site is very vague about it.

We can also assume that unless Bomberman 2 is compatible with this games online, it wouldn't be localized here. Will get, I love Bomberman. And Maybe hudson will have another contest..

Re: Nintendo Rep: Virtual Console Being Toned Down

Nintendude92

Nintendo has advertised virtual console in its included pamphlets, Punch-out for the wii vouched for both NES And SNES versions being available on the Virtual console. There have been attempts on virtual Nintendo Channel, its the software itself. Nintendo has already made many of our favorite tittles downloadable since quite some time ago, and we all downloaded it.

I don't know about you all, but when it comes to virtual console I only download things that I enjoyed in the past or are recieve high praise, I don't download them to try something new, but to experience what made it great or relive nostalgic feelings. I assume thats the same for the average buyer, Classic hits and then its off to fresh wiiware. As long as support continues, theres not really much to complain about. Advertising doesn't do much.

Re: First Impressions: WarioWare: D.I.Y.

Nintendude92

I have this in japanese, and I have to agree the quality of the games is dumbed down both gfx wise and gameplay wise in some aspects. The included micro games are clearly made using the micro game creator. No games use anything more than just tapping.

But I have had a blast with the already large catalog of uploaded micro games uploaded by many users. Making them is fun too. But if you don't plan on making or trying the content, this may not be for you. I myself love it.
(Thats DS criticism)

Re: Interviews: Kyle Gray talks Henry Hatsworth & indie plans

Nintendude92

I just want to say that Henry Hatsworth really shocked me- I haven't seen a platformer in a long time. A very unique and challenging one at that. I have the utmost respect for this game and I'm totally up for a second hatsworth, I hope the rest of the fanbase harasses Kyle as well. Easily one of my favorite DS tittles right up there with the long-standing franchises.

Re: Henry Hatsworth Gives Australia a Miss

Nintendude92

In came out in March and went up against other heavy weight games. Several RPG's and a grand theft auto. Then you have impending DSi launch. The box art for this game put me off until I saw gameplay.

Its a good game and the sales are unfortunate.

Re: Game Play Trailer - Bomberman 2 DS

Nintendude92

Already have the European version, its very good. Best bomberman on DS, thats for sure.

If you enjoyed retro campaigns like super bomberman this is your bag.
huge bomberman fan

And yes, it has online. It sports the same battle pak as bomberman land touch! 2, even though the story mode has its own multiplayer mode to compete against other custom bombermen.

Re: Bomberman 2 (DS) Game Play Trailer

Nintendude92

I already have the European version, its a good return to the classic bomberman. Customizing bomberman is fun.

The old battle pak is used again for online. I love hudson very much, glad to see they are briging this to NA.

Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (26th Nov)

Nintendude92

It's not that strong bad games don't have lasting power, its the episodic series thats holding the consumers back. Has anyone actually set aside $50 for Strong bad's entire series?

Every week you see them shoot up and down the top twenty. It's just what episodes look the most appealing or what everyone's moved onto playing. I bet if you combined the sales of all 5 it'd be in the top 3. But its unfair to call it one game, which is the only point anyone can make, really.

Re: Nicalis Interview: Cave Story

Nintendude92

They aren't in it for money, and it sounds like they are fighting for less than 1,000. So, yeah, you can download it for free. They just want to make it more available, and they can't make it free.

It's got enough to make it 1,000 easy just because its a platformer. I love platformers. :9

Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (5th Nov)

Nintendude92

Alien Crush just needs a bit to get moving.

It's not as friendly looking compared to the other games they've put out. Even if it is just Pinball.

I don't have it yet for lack of pts Hudson is sending. But I'll get it for sure when I do.

Also, omgwtfbbq Amazing maze? Being 500 points and a Wiiware game must be gold.

Re: Review: Strong Bad Episode 3 - Baddest of the Bands (WiiWare)

Nintendude92

The humor in strong bad is just a little more complex, not necessarily for an older audience. There is nothing Vulgar in these games. Strong bad 1 got a T because you steal homestar's clothes. The most vulgar thing you'll here is "crap" once in a blue moon or "ugly stick"

Fans of the series will catch every reference. Anyone else will just be a little tripped up.

Re: JoJu Games Interview: Mart Racer

Nintendude92

I play bomberman blast alot. There are quite a few server flaws.

-Parent/child (Host-client)
-No ability to drop a player
-Friend functionality is lacking

But it's not bad. You just have to be lucky and find a nice room of players.

About Mart racer, its ceartinly different. I'm picky until I see gameplay.

Re: New Screenshots for Bang!

Nintendude92

The puzzlers had their chance at fortune. Seen the top twenty lately? Tetris, Dr.Mario and Cubello. World of Goo if you count it. All the other puzzle games got the boot. For as long as I can remember about wiiware there has been a puzzler every week in US. You have to come out with something very unique to topple the kings. I already have 3 puzzlers, I'm done.

Platformers or arcade games plz

Re: Review: Mega Man 9 (WiiWare)

Nintendude92

You are indeed. You get a bit more bang for your buck in this one too. Time attack mode/Challenges/Leaderboards.

This one is new compared to the first two as well, so the tag is even more justified.

Re: Review: World of Goo (WiiWare)

Nintendude92

@Crazynoodle- Hudson hosted a tournament for bomberman on its site. "Bomb it up Tournament/sweepstakes!"

Believe it or not, the 10,000 Wii points reward was 3rd prize! (Thanks for assuming I won, Corbie. )

I've been assured to get these points by the end of the week, can't wait.

Re: Tetris Party Released On WiiWare In Japan

Nintendude92

For what were getting, I'm surprised Tetris didn't try to pull a Plattchen and ask for 1,500.

Then again, Japanese currency is different. One example is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time. It was 1,200 in Japan, but only 1,000 here.

I'm probabbly just over thinking.

TLDR: 1,200 is the max, its worth it.

Re: Tetris Party Released On WiiWare In Japan

Nintendude92

@WolfMaster- I removed that channel cuz if you combine both the data & channel, it caps 400 blocks. That's a good bit of info, though!

Look's like Hudson is bringing Tetris out before Alien Crush, assuming the trailer said "October." A good move money wise, this will be the puzzler to upstage all the others.

Re: Review: World of Goo (WiiWare)

Nintendude92

Haha, I was gunna pass on this for a while; I planned on buying one card for tetris party. But I won 10,000 Wii points from Hudson's bomberman blast tournament, so I know what I'm downloading once the points arrive! I'll be picking this up entirely off your reccomendation, Corbie.

EDIT: I love whoever gave me this avatar! Mario is my favorite video game character of all time!

Re: Review: Bomberman Blast (WiiWare)

Nintendude92

A very fair review.

I was so dissapointed it didn't release on Monday. Has Hudson ever leaked release dates on Wiiware tittles? I heard the game is due Q4 2008.. I'm too excited for this. >_>

And to everyone who asked, Hudson's site said to unlock your Mii, you just need to play on all ten of the stages.
