sighs I haven't downloaded a VC game in about three months now, which is strange since I used to be the guy DLing at least one VC title a week. I've also completely written off WiiWare. But I have been playing the Hell outta my DS!

Oh and Uniracers for the SNES needs to come out soon, too!

It's people like North99 that justify the rest of the other countries' sentiment on this site towards us North American gamers. Are we never happy people? I think this is a good week... I personally am not interested in either game, but seriously... At least NoA varied the systems. And why are you guys whining about the TG16 games? Three weeks ago you were whining about how that's all we were gonna get!

Plus Chrono Trigger's coming out on the DS this winter, so no one should be complaining about anything =P

Oh man, people... Everyone stop complaining before the VC just shuts down globally lol At least we're all getting VC/WiiWare releases in some form each week, even if they do suck or you don't like them. If something gets released on the VC that you don't wanna play, don't forget your Wii plays Wii games, too! Even GCN games! Go try another NEW game instead of pining for the past all the time! It's alright to be frustrated, but don't let it deter you from other great games...

Rexy has an excellent point about people waiting for certain games being constantly set up for failure... Actually, everyone has made excellent points... Time to kill the thread...

Seriously tho, as a gamer, I do want to own all three consoles (I have most retro consoles, except TG16, Virtual Boy, Dreamcast). The only one out of the three I have right now is Wii... But I want a 360 next. My girlfirend wants me to get the PS3 'cause it's a BluRay player tho... The only game currently for PS3 that I'm excited about is LittleBigPlanet

Dude, they already stated that they do feel bad about our VC releases, don't be so defensive

And yeah, after a day of thinking about it I've realized that it doesn't matter, because the hardcore Nintendo fans will always be there... And I really do think that it all has a lot to do with licensing and contracts... It's not just Nintendo. Remember when they released all that Genesis stuff in rapid fire? Well that Genesis collection was getting ready to be released, so maybe they're just doin' the same thing with these SNK games...
I am disappointed that the games I want aren't out for the VC yet, but I am grateful for the ones I got a chance to play. Beyond Oasis, Wonder Boy, and the imports are all great games that I wouldn't have otherwise even known about, had it not been for the VC

I totally agree with Macfly... It's all contracts and strategy

First of all people, it has nothing to do with customer service. I almost guarantee you it's all licensing and contractual. I want SMRPG and all those others just as much as anyone else, but there are issues and other avenues that have to be explored for each region. Maybe Square hasn't licensed SMRPG for NA yet. You have to remember that some of the games we're asking for are from other publishers/developers. On the other hand, Nintendo DOES seem to be holding out on ITS stable of superb games like Super Mario Kart, Earthbound, Pro Wrestling, etc. I can't defend that... So they do seem to be stringing us out... Again

Most of our complaints here in NA stem from the fact that the VC is not doing what they promised us it would do. They change patterns, release games with questionable quality, and keep secrets. Sure there are great games, and I understand they can't all be the ones we want, but with so many that we are still looking forward to, the continual release of bad to mediocre games is getting tedious and frustrating. So many of the games released lately can be found on recent collections and rereleases. And the NEO*GEO appeals to so few to begin with (In my experience), so we are tired of the games. I agree that there are whiny, desperate, and annoying people on the boards, but their frustration is not without merit (Most of the time)

I LOVED this game when I was a kid, granted I had it for the Super Nintendo...
Again tho, I already own this on the SNK Arcade Classics for the PSP... This is an awesome game tho
But for reals Nintendo, no more NEO*GEO for awhile

Square said it wasn't releasing games for the VC that they could still see profit from... I mean, there is a reason why ActRaiser and King's Knight are on there. I think Chrono Trigger DS is fantastic news, and I think Square's track record of updating past RPG gems for handhelds (Especially Nintendo's) will do the game right

Many of the games that were ESRB rated here in the States and then taken off, are receiving remakes elsewhere... I hope this isn't the same fro SMRPG

This is great for Mega Man fans, but Mega Man fans also probably already have the Mega Man collections...

Yeah, the load times kinda suck... And on the more graphically complex games there can be some slowdown, but $30 for 16 games is still better than 16 games at $9 a pop
I guess it also depends on how big a NEO*GEO fan you are

Yeah. Awesome. PoP, Critter Round-Up, and My Pokemon Ranch are so awesome... I can't believe I actually lived without them T_T

Again, the NEO*GEO games are obsolete considering all represented games are on the SNK Arcade Collection Volume One (Available for PSP, PS2, and even Wii soon). Plus, Metal Slug Anthology was released ages ago for the Wii, so really what else would you want from SNK that you would honestly play for more than ten minutes?
Most of the games that were ESRB rated and then taken off, are showing up again as remakes or rereleases for other Nintendo systems or WiiWare (Dr Mario, WiiWare; Kirby SuperStar, DS), So I hope they don't do this with Mario RPG. I got it on my SNES but for convenience's sake I would so much rather have it on the VC

... Plus if they DO release Mario RPG, it'll show that both Square and Nintendo are just a liiittle bit less stingy

Disappointing week

I bought SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1 for my PSP... So I probably won't be buying any SNK titles on the VC any time soon. SS is still a good game tho. I am still a little disappointed about the WiiWare and VC release this week tho...

I was so disappointed... This game isn't even a decent storage box...
They could have revamped Pokemon Channel to be used with the Wiimote, put THAT up for sale on the VC, and it would have been twenty times worth what this rubbish is...

Nintendo of Europe = Fail

Soo... Very close... The Soul Blazer series is one of my very favorites (Gaia's one of the best action/RPGs around), and I'd love to get the chance to play Terranigma

Honestly, I haven't touched Brawl for weeks now... I'm more hyped about Mario Kart!
All around the board tho, I think everyone's getting' shafted on the VC... Where the f[BEEP]k is say... FFOne? Or even... Uniracers? Something quality, please! Ooh! Beetle Adventure Racing!

When I was a kid, I let my friend borrow this and Wrecking Crew and in exchange he let me borrow that Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle or something game... Guess which two games I never saw again T_T
I was so happy to download Wrecking Crew so I don't need to mention how I'll be downloading this the minute it's released

Why are we wasting time with a C64 platfrom for the VC when there are still plenty of untapped games from the systems already available? ... Zork was cool, but I would much rather play Secret of Evermore, any Soul Blazer game, or Hell, even Monster Party!

That's cool, I just can't wait for the WiiWare original games to be launched... 1500p is a ;ittle steep tho... Maybe 1000p
