Re: DFC Intelligence Believes Nintendo Switch Can Shift 40 Million Units by 2020

They need to keep delivering good software throughout 2017 and good bundles at Christmas and they should be ok. If they end up delaying any of the big titles (which has been a fairly standard practice on the Wii U) and I think it'll be terminal for the machine. I really hope for the best and currently am planning a Christmas purchase of the machine.

Re: Breaking Down the Nintendo Switch Online Service Details

The big issue for me is how many on-line games will there ever be. I been Nintendo owner since SNES and after N64 they have talked a great game regarding the volume of releases and winning back 3rd party support, but repeatedly failed to deliver. If this is pay to play the 1 current on line offering it is a joke. Have been there day 1 on hardware releases since N64, am sitting this one out until the switch proves itself.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Wants Us to Download More and Move On From Discs - Will It Work?

Surely the only way to make downloading the preferred option for buyers is to under-cut the retail price and by the retail price I do not mean RRP, but the price on Amazon. Why would I pay more to own a copy of a game I cannot take round to my mates, without the art work and extras and not to mention one that the digital rights are technically rented to me. If Nintendo can make the price point attactive I am sure gamers will flock to the service. History suggests this is unlikely in the extreme though.
