Re: Next Metroid Prime Home Console Title "Would Likely Now be on NX"

@Mr_Action Catches up to Sony and Microsoft for how long though? Only until PS5 and XB2 release, which is roughly 2 years after NX. That's the problem, it's too late to just "catch up", they need to stay on par or pull ahead. NX has to be phenomenal to sway anyone to buy it because as soon as it release people will be thinking "wait, if I just wait a couple of years Sony and Microsoft are gonna release an even more powerful console with all the third party games even better on them" (assuming NX does some who get third party games). NX will be outdated within 2 years.

Nintendo do know that having a different hardware cycle than the competition is going to kill them right? Say NX releases 2017, and say it's more powerful than PS4/XBONE. Sure it'll be great for maybe two years, then PS5 and XB2 comes out and is even more powerful; NX is now the WiiU of the generation.
Less powerful, third parties will make games that are too demanding for the now weaker NX, so no third party again, other than diehard fans few will have reason to buy an NX when the competition has better hardware that will last longer.
You'll be ahead for 2 years, then back in the dust for the next 4. Nintendo screwed themselves over by releasing the WiiU early in the first place.
