I've died and gone to heaven, courtesy of Nintendo. Why complain about size or how it looks? It's definitely not an ugly console, and the size doesn't faze me because my current 3DS will sometimes get lost in the void of my pockets. Anyone who has played the DSi will know that it opens up the world a bit more if the screen is bigger, it definitely helped with Prime Hunters.
@Capt_N I think it's because Captain Hookey sells his old stuff to afford the new stuff. I do the same thing, but my Gamecube and Gameboy player are off-limits.
Son of a *****! Can't help it. I'll probably get one, but when I do the 3DSi will come out, and only one short year later the 3DSi XL (which of course I will promptly buy). The stresses of being a Nintendo fan [sobs].
@Cosmo810 I hear you. It's like my great-grandmother always said, "You're going to have it and you're going to like it; if you don't like it, TOO BAD." Bless her heart.
I thought E3 was pretty good this year. Nothing too big, but not disappointing. Nintendo Land is basically Mario Party, but it comes as a sort of refreshing change by letting other franchises in on it. I really can't complain with what Nintendo is doing because they always turn out, at the very least, a decent product.
I completely agree with Miyamoto. There's just too many first-person shooters in today's game market. My first "violent" game was Super Smash Bros. Melee; up until that point I only played a few games on the Gameboy, so this blew my mind. When I first played a Zelda game (Wind Waker) my reality was shattered by the hyoi pear. When I first played Call of Duty I was bored out of my mind. There was nothing to keep me interested. It's not that war doesn't interest me, but shooter games just don't have the kind of fun that Nintendo games have. If it were up to me the world's greatest "shooter franchise" would be Metroid Prime (yes, I know it's an action series); it solves a need for violence, puzzle solving, and over-all button-mashin' fun. Shooters are usually just too linear; you move from one objective to the next by killing everything.
Who says Nintendo is selling out? If anything this gets the attention of the younger gamers that are playing games on the mobile market. It's product placement, and I hope it works... 'cause I hate Apple products.
James (I don't understand how that @ thingy works), couldn't you use the classic controllers to play on the Wii U? If so, why would you need to plug in Gamecube controllers?
It's Mario. Seriously. Whatever happens, it's going to be fun.
I was going to pass this article, until I remembered how bad the other review of this was. Sometimes I think the whole mission statement of this company is "Lets use the one harmless object that everyone is afraid of, and see how many people buy it."
This is not HIGH FASHION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I do watch Tosh.
3D could be more than a gimmick! Imagine a Metroid game (primarily the Prime games) in 3D! I finally will play it and not get frustrated with how hard it is for me to judge the distance between me and Dark Samus in Prime Corruption (the boss battle that has angered me for the past couple of years).
As for 3D Mario games... It's Mario. In 3D. [ <- OK]
Good old-fashioned 2D Paper Mario... in 3D. [ <- Freakin' Awesome]
This game makes me want to have a 3D Super Smash Bros even more! And a new 3D Zelda! And a new 3D Metroid! And a new... you know what, just bring the whole family.
I agree with MadAussieBloke, music started to decline after the 90's; but I don't think Nintendo will put on Metallica, Nirvana, Social Distortion, The Offspring, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bad Religion, Alice in Chains, Rise Against, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Bush, Chevelle, Seether, Skillet (not Skrillex), Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Queen, Oingo Boingo, A7X, Pennywise, 311, Coldplay, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Social Distortion, Creed, Guns and Roses, Papa Roach, Pink Floyd, Sublime, The Eagles, and Weezer. They might put on Muse, but who really knows?
We need a Wind Waker sequel for 3ds! We need one in which the camera angle is behind you like in Ocarina and Skyward Sword! I must know what happens to Gannon! I must know what happens to Link directly after Phantom Hourglass! Why is there no answers to my questions!
I used to listen to those bands, and then I discovered that all of them (with exception of OK Go)** are terrible. Gone are the days when people listened to talented artists.
**I was actually pretty impressed with The Rifle's Spiral by the Shins, by both the music video and the music.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Trailer is Informative
Or the entire valuable stuff from a sparkly ring thingy started with Yoshi's island. Just saying...
Mario for Wii U AND 3DS XL 2012! WORD!

@Nibelilt That's my plan. No way am I going to sell off my ambassador games!

Re: First Impressions: New Super Mario Bros. U
I'm sorry, I believe I just got lost in U; and I don't believe I can find a way out.
Mario for Wii U 2012!

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
And Brawl OF COURSE!
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Try to unlock everything in Kid Icarus: Uprising, try Super Paper Mario, and finish Skyward Sword.
Re: Sakurai: Dual Analogue Control in Kid Icarus: Uprising Was "Technically Impossible"
The game is perfect as it is, and is actually easier to play than Metroid Prime: Hunters (my pick for best DS game ever created).
Re: Analyst Calls for Mario on Non-Nintendo Platforms
Just so I'm clear: I hate Apple products and smartphones.
Re: Analyst Calls for Mario on Non-Nintendo Platforms
The 3DSiPhone is something I would buy, and it would probably be cheaper than the iPhone I used to type this.

Re: Miyamoto Working on "Small, Important" Wii U Projects
I have been thinking about Flipnote Studio for the 3DS ever since I sold my DSi!
Really, whatever Shigeru Miyamoto does is going to be awesome. It's just not possible for him to fail, because he's HIGH FASHION.

High Fashion.
Re: Kid Icarus: Uprising
This game killed my preconceptions of the game because they could not handle the awesomeness that was the game.
Re: Feature: Kid Icarus: Uprising - What the Review Couldn't Tell You
best. Game. EVER!

I would get Wii U no matter what color. Nintendo is a quality manufacturer...
Re: Capcom Admits It Can't 'Sugarcoat' Its Revelaitons Typo
They should give "Revelations" a sequel and call it "Resident Evil: Revelaitons".
Re: Review: Kid Icarus: Uprising (3DS)
This is the same kind of aiming method for Metroid Prime: Hunters! I should feel right at home! Can't wait for Friday! Exclamation!
