Re: Review: Mario Clock (DSiWare)

One question Corbie: does it enter sleep mode when you close the DS lid? That saves a lot of energy whenever you want to set an alarm. If I recall correctly; this wasn't the case with the AC clock, rendering it even more useless.

Esposch: Partners in Time was a bit of a letdown to me after the superb SS. Less mini-games, not nearly as funny supporting characters (though they will fix that with 3) and more focus on basic action. The only time I had to 'grind' was during the final palace though, that's what I like about these games.

Machu: I'm really tired of people using that crutch in general. I've never played Guitar Hero but I can understand it's broad appeal to the masses. Think of it as a way to make it accessible for people who are fond of music, so they can eventually make the leap toward Ibanez guitars or other brands. It sounds like another hardcore versus casuals topic and we've had enough of those.

Finished the game. While the graphics and sound hold up very well, I'm not convinced about the other aspects of the game. The combat is incredibly repetitive and you have to grind a lot. This is my own fault, since I loathe the concept of grinding in general and I should've looked up more info about the game. It doesn't make for a compelling experience in my eyes. I'll just have to play it in short bursts I suppose. I can see why people loved it back in the day as it was truly one of it's kind, but it's definitely not the type of game I can get into.

The AI characters are f*cking retarded as well. Christ, I lost track of the amount of times Popoie or Purim got stuck behind a rock or something.
