Re: Switch OLED Upgrades Reportedly Cost Nintendo "Around $10 More Per Unit"

@eaglebob345 actually standard business markup is 100% of product not 500%. And typically in videogame industry consoles are marked up just to offset associated costs so there is minimal profit. Profit comes from the games.
There simply isn't healthy competition for the switch and they know it. they are selling at the price they know they can get and still entice repeat buyers.

Re: Nintendo Is "Rigorously Responding" To Demand For Multiple Switch Consoles Per Household

Nintendo, it's simple. Allow game sharing on accounts within the same nintendo online family plan. To mitigate piracy just ensure all accounts on the family plan share billing info. It wouldn't be hard to restrict it so that you cant play the same game on two switches without owning the game on multiple accounts.

I think sales would really take off if they simplified the game sharing like this. It's a nightmare right now and makes me (whose given up basically all physical media) want to go back to cartridges. Man it sucks right now! "Which account so I use to play this game dad!".

Re: Nintendo Shares Release Schedule For 2021 And Beyond, And It's Looking Pretty Bare

If this were strictly original titles of nintendo I'd say it's not too bad, though I hope one of the TBA's would come in holiday season 2021.

However, they put in the mario port/remake so that worries me. There is so much potential nintendo content to port or "remake" that I'd hope some of that would be on this list. Give us some Zelda OoT, majora's or skyward for crying out loud. I'd take some squenix colabs too like Mario RPG / crystal chronicles or something. This list is a bit lonely tbh.

Re: Hacker Group Not Happy About Nintendo's "Censorship" And "Legal Scare Tactics"

Can you use a crowbar to break the law? Should we outlaw it then? In actuality there is a layer between because it isn't even illegal in any sense to break into the switches. It's just illegal to load it full of stolen content.

Remember the days of Napster and limewire? Shoot it's still just as easy now to pirate music and movies but very very few do. If these billion dollar corporations want to stop piracy they need only make it more affordable and convenient for their customers to use their products. To be fair Nintendo is already doing this, they just bring attention to the .0001% that are hacking their systems by taking a legal course.
