Really dig that artwork from the article....much much more than the 3d model. (although, not sure if that was a good idea to show this particular image from the game...) Only thing I really never liked from the ZeroSuit, is that whole super thin latex - diver look... she still looks like a nude model with a blue color. And that pony tail... I would expect a character look much more integrated and less clean when getting out of the powersuit. A bit more messy. More like she has been in some tremendous fight. There is one drawing from the Appleseed manga covers that really nailed the look..imho.
Awesome costume!! Slightly off topic...that Samus picture they used for this article; for me, that is thé one! They nailed the looks with good old fashion paintings / airbrush.
I love it...I love the Metroid 2d series..I was absolute stunned by the announcement of a new 2d Metroid follow up...but....that heavy marketing thing that is currently going on always feels a bit suspicious...I always thought that a super good product doesn't need marketing. btw, the Voice-over was pretty cheesy imho. I wonder why one could approve that. We'll see in just a month if the hype is real! Looking forward to it, but certainly without my pink glasses.
This was such a masterpiece in storytelling, gameplay, characters and music...! I would love to see some solid re-publishing of this. No fancy 3d graphics, no dialogs..just this but legally available to get on switch. Luckily, I still own the original cartridge and packing!!
Not sure where all that ‘hate’ is coming from these days… about price AND the game itself… Back in the days in the super nintendo era, games also did cost quit a lot more then the game boy versions… Remember paying 130,- GermanMarks for Super Metroid… comparing to +- 50 or 60,- German Marks for a GameBoy game. (would be something like 130 = 60 / 70 euros? ) Spend some time to work for and gather all that money together. Question is more, what do you get for that amount of money? And btw, all that discussion about the recycled content, making this game worth ‘less’… I believe it is actually the other way around. In the light of the new Metroid Dread, I think, Samus’ Return was ‘just’ one big giant pitch to prove Nintendo, they can pull that off. (Despite some critics of my own, overal I think they did a very good job) And now we are getting the full meat here. Without, hopefully, recycled music, storyline etc. One could argue that in fact Samus Return was more expensive, because it was a remake, we got same music, same storyline, same enemies. etc etc etc. Anyways, looking very much forward for a NEW 2d entry since the year 2000'sh.

Re: Feature: Metroid Dread Has Plenty Of Other M's DNA, And That's No Bad Thing
Other M is a great action game, just not a great Metroid game. And besides...it did age extremely, comparing to classics like Super Metroid.
