@onex I honestly do not care if anyone reads, comments, likes, or even dislikes what I type up to here. I learn not to expect a response of any kind, but...seeing as how you cared enough to read and reply..guess I can consider that a bonus. Feel free to ignore/mute me, though. Enjoy your morning/day.
Before you were so swift to report me, and whether or not you muted me at this point, I have the utmost respect and admiration for Canada. I love the country. I have a couple friends online that live there. I simply just thought of the anthem when I saw the maple leaf and just felt like applying the lyrics in my comment replies to you. At least I put them -appropriately- and not a parody/mock-up variation like some would've done. So if anything, consider it a tribute from a nobody living in a small town in Georgia, USA. Hell, many of time I wish I could freaking move there to tell the truth.
But nevermind. 'Tis fine. Enjoy your evening and, sorry I gave an opinion on the pricing of an elastic plastic ring and game? Guess that's not what a comment section is supposed to be...guess I should love it no matter what. 🐏
@JamesJose7 I am, really. I try to be. Some just like to test one's patience, either quickly or slowly. No pity for the majority, however. A creed I've learned to live by. 🖤
I've spent more time on A Link To The Past, Ocarina Of Time and The Wind Waker than Breath Of The Wild. Least your weapons and shields stay intact in those games. And your running/climbing isn't limited to a stamina meter.
@ShadJV Ohhh yeahhh, I almost forgot about that 3DS Ambassador Program thingie. I got my first 3DS early on to be a part of that, was rather fab of an deal they did with that.
@mazzel Oh it is a nice move indeed, don't get me wrong. But for those of us that have had to live with the shorter battery life say, since launch or even a year-ish after launch (like mine per say, since February of 2018), it kinda sucks. But eh, it's no big deal. I tend to play docked more so than not, and thankfully my Joy Cons have remained drift free ever since they came out of the box. Good times.
Indeed as someone above said, a steal at the prices they've been posted for. I'm content with the way all 3 play, despite keeping DooM to a Playstation standard. I felt these would be fun to have in handheld and indeed they are, as well as being able to easily transport the Switch from one dock to another, as opposed to unplugging a whole PS3 and moving it into the bedroom. So overall I'm happy with these ports. Hella happy.
I would not get my first (of two, eventually) Game Boy's until Christmas 1990. I still remember and have every game I got initially for it:
Tetris
Super Mario Land
Wizards & Warriors X: Fortress Of Fear
The Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle
Boxxle
Kwirk
A fine line-up of titles to start off with, loved them all, still play them ever so often , either on the original hardware, or on the Super Game Boy SNES Adapter. Now, reason why I said two Game Boy's..is for I broke my first one, after bashing the screen against my forehead in anger back in '92, infuriated at the game Nemesis (Gradius.) Had to be slick to come up with a fib to tell mom, but I think she knew what really happened. Either way, I wound up with a new GB later that week and learned to calm my young AVGN-ass down and make better use of my pillows to take my anger out upon instead. Good times! As were spending clear, warm, late summer afternoons out on the back porch with my bag of GB games playing until the sun went down.
@beazlen1 StarFox Adventures was actually rather underrated. It was an interesting deviation from the SF norm, other than the occasional brief Arwing travels. It was fun. One of those rare occasions where I found myself not wanting to stop once I got going.
Ooh, perfect. Wouldn't say it's too too surprising, but unexpected. Like everyone else, was anticipating a week before or the week after. Wow, hard to believe it's been 18 years since the first one came out, though I didn't get my GameCube 'til mid-2002. So many good memories.
@PBandSmelly Well, I feel for ya, I really do. But years of their particular practices has led to this disdain that's ultimately unanimous, with some small glimmers of light, but not many. A 10 year old game getting re-released physically through one store is just...ugh. For the thing is, I have a couple older games I could trade in, but either I won't get hardly a dime for them, or they just won't accept them at all, which sucks. For there is also an indy game store 20 minutes away that I've done hella good business with in the past, always given me awesome deals for the things I bring in, but sadly this one won't be one of 'em. Think I'd be better off just getting the PS3 version again and calling it a day.
I could not wait for a physical edition, though I might likely double dip, when they were having their E3 sale last month, I also had $2-something in gold coin discount saved up at the time so I got it for pretty cheap. This delay'll give me time to hone my craft in perfecting this game.
I still love and play my Wii U from time to time, recently it's been StarFox Zero and the Resident Evil Chronicles games. It's been a fun system honestly and have gotten plenty of use from it during it's life cycle.
Great! Lovely! On that note, give us Sonic 3 and Knuckles at some point while you're at it. Settle that soundtrack dispute(?) or just re-record something similar to it and put it on a compilation collection of some sort. It'd be like if they released the original Star Wars movies (again) but didn't include Return Of The Jedi.
I once had Star Wars on the Sega Game Gear, which was essentially a color portable version of the NES game. Remember staying up past bedtime on school nights in the dark trying to make it through the nightmare that was the Death Star stage trying to rescue Leia's ass. Failed miserably. Never got around to finishing it.
@chocolate_supra I noticed, and I liked. But I would like to think they could have a little more fun with it, I mean...this is Nintendo we're talking about here. But I do hope he'll do some antics like that a little more often, loosen up and be sort of a villainous but fun President. A villainous President that we can ACTUALLY LIKE in this country. Hm hm.
@Heavyarms55 I think if he really wanted to live up to his name's legacy and make a great first heel move (while still presenting great games all the while!), he should've taken a Mario doll and either stomped on it or lit it on fire.
Lovely. Sadly I never got around to finishing it back on the PS3 either, but seeing it's coming to the Switch (hopefully a finely developed port) is grand. I still have the strategy guide laying around that'll come in handy. A September-October release would be even more perfect.
@Silly_G Exactly. The overall presentation and experience. Thank you. Even if you skip it in later play sessions, just the fact knowing it's there in cases you might want to watch it again is what makes it feel a more, complete deal.
Kinda surprised out of all the things listed above, no one mentioned the fact that the opening intro and Crush 40 song are missing from the Switch version entirely. While I wouldn't necessarily say it's a "deal breaker", but when I read that Sega wanted this game to be "equal" across the console board, it comes as a bit disappointing.
The Nintendo Switch continues to be THE hottest gaming console people want to get their hands on of the last 2 years and going! It's literally growing Raccoon Mario ears and tails and flying off shelves.
And people's garages! Poor Wario didn't get too far it seems in this story.
@Koopatroop Duuude! I just now saw the article on here from the other day after doing a quick look up. =D !!!!! XD !!! AHHH!!! I'm giddy as F right now. Thank you for bringing that tease to my attention. I just really love this game, and other than Mortal Kombat and Pole Position, was the one arcade game I dropped the most quarters on to play. Not to mention rocking out to the soundtrack while I played. Thank you again, and to this site for upping that news piece the other day. m/m/

$80 for an elastic plastic ring. And I thought cardboard was the worst of it all.
