@Key19 very similar my thoughts, I didn't find it very engaging nor very amusing let alone funny. I did enjoy the background more than the story.
Not the worst movie ever, maybe the hype killed it? Not sure but it's an Ok movie at best, I think my two year old will love it, the 13yr old thought it was good and he loved the later mario references. As a Nintendo fan I loved the game history references.
