@PALversusNTSC well I think a pro dock would push devs to go the enhancement route rather than making exclusive titles that work with pro hardware. Portability is still a selling point of the device after all, and making a game you can only play docked would remove player bases who play Portable, as well as all those who own a Switch Lite.
One of the ideas I floated a while back was a Pro Dock rather than a new console iteration. The idea is the dock would have a companion board inside to improve performance but not put people in a position of having to buy a whole new console or not have access to new entries to the Switch's library. Even if the Pro Dock was $150 I'd still buy it over a $300-$400 new console iteration. With the Switch Lite I don't think Nintendo can really afford to have Pro exclusive titles.
